Firstly Gibbo, has worked non stop to try and ensure that as many of you recieve you products as soon as possible, he is also doing the hard part, which is tell you the facts, rather than what a lot of people will do and tell you what you want to hear. In the end I'm sure that all of you with pre-orders will still be happy when you recieve you cpu, before anyone who has held out.

With regard to the delays you are suffering, there are numerous factors, which i could tell you about, but me explaining them all to you, wont get you your CPU's any quicker. Worldwide demand on what we believe is the best cpu in the world (If you disagree, i respect that no arguments please) is huge, and and we just cant make enough of them fast enough

We are doing everything we can to get product into OCUK asap, and hopefully you should all have CPU's and i think you will be very happy with them

How about Intel upgrading all the OcUK preorders to ES CPU's. Sounds fair to me and I'm sure that would make everyone happy, including me :)

I don't doubt that for a second, but how do you know? Are you inferring this from his fourm posts? Or is it because you work directly with him and know the efforts he is putting in first hand? If you work with him, wouldn't you refer to him with his real name, rather than as 'Gibbo'?
 
after ordering a system from a local builder with based around a e6600 cpu i am now hoping this isnt going to be like the p4 extreme edition launch, iirc that cpu was constantly delayed and not seen in large numbers for some time after being announced/launched

Yes i do some work directly, and I also see the supply update requests going through his suppliers, amongst a lot of other stuff

I dont know if Gibbo uses his real name here and, as everyone knows Gibbo as OCUK, it wouldnt have made any sense to refer to any other name.

honestly I don't care, I've heard all I wanted to know from Gibbo and so long as I get my components asap then I'm alright.

Ever seen them both in the same room at the same time? I know Clark Kent and Superman can't even manage that, and they're like........super!
