Ok here we go latest news from Purchasing

Very short supply and extremely high demand, which is causing these major delays

Well that goes without saying i guess. Dell etc will always get higher priority due to them doing millions of pounds worth of business with Intel each year.
They will still take the e-tailers quite seriously also tho, especially the bigger ones.

Personally i think this works out kinda nicely, it clashes well with the next Nvidia card launch :)
 
Personally I think the lot of you just need to chill out. Anyone who says they were not expecting delays/screw ups from intel are either lying or just really, really stupid.

This is a BRAND new CPU, there are only a handful of the things going about and the new ones are coming from a few places around the world to the whole world!. Thats's not exactly a small task you know.

Come to think of it, I can't recall a launch of ANY new product EVER to go without a hitch.
 
To be honest, nobody has complained since about the 2nd page and since then every post has been moaning about the moaners even though nobody's moaned since Gibbo vented his own frustration.

The bandwagon needs to be scrapped because the record's getting old.

Everybody knows the truth now and as far as I can see, we've all accepted it.
 
yeah got to check that everything I bought works..graphics card.ram mobo etc.... I just went and bought a whole new system sooooooo from the originonal 478 p4 processor ;-) which was a fair amount of time ago ;-)
 
i almost ordered a celeron a minute ago... then i remembered i'd have to take the motherboard out of the case again just to install the conroe + scythe ninja in hopefully 7-10 days. Can't be bothered with that plus a £40 loss.

No seriously, Im glad I didnt pre-order now, some people have been waiting an age. It works out fine for me cos I have to wait until around August-ish when I have the money for the cpu in my bank account. Oh well, just have to dream of how great its gonna be, when I finally get to play with that kit. :)

I just hope the guy who said the end of the year is waaaay off. :rolleyes:

i think everyone does :( wish i ordered the mb with the cpu now instead of ordering them separately. oh well.
 
I have a question for Intel Guy :-

Why if you are making enough to meet demand of X6800's are you not able to make enough 6600's or get any out to your customers?

Second question -

Why are you shipping to HP and dell and shipping NONE to OCUK? Surely some to everyone is better?
