Intel Update: Conroe!

Any one noticed that the OEM E6300 has changed from 1-3 days to INSTOCK :D Roll on Friday
OEM's have a fair amount off the retail price too.

Roll on E6600 OEM...

It said the e6300 was in stock last thursday as well, seems a little late in the day for OCUK to take delivery seeing as most couriers have long gone home and most of the warehouse staff as well i'd imagine.

They are released tomorrow, they wouldnt have been allowed to ship today anyway.

well, i have 3 conroes on pre-order at the mo from diff e-tailors (1 from OCUK inc) and am hoping to have at least 1 by end of next week. :o

I saw the instock symbol so I took the plunge and ordered. If I don't get one from this stock intake I will consider cancelling and waiting until more stock physically arives in the warehouse. Rather have the money in my bank account than OCuk's bank account, I bet OCuk's bank manager is quite pleased with a couple of £million in the bank for pre-orders :D

Have you tried pressing control and F5 to do a hard refresh, I just checked and it's the same as yesterday?
A notice in the shop says that pre-ordered Core 2 CPUs are shipping two days ago.

I've learnt not to pay much attention to notices about this sort of thing, IRL or on a website. People can simply overlook changing a notice.

Impressive. I must resist the temptation to go and order an e6300 and that board, well possibly relax this for the board (I was going to anyway) but the CPU will have to wait until the e6600 is around which should be in the next couple of weeks, touch wood.

I don't know what's more impressive - that the CPU works at that speed or that the board's FSB does. That's so far over spec that the spec would need Hubble to see it.

i cant believe i need to buy a gigabyte mobo for extreme OC'ing :p

I goes against the grain doesn't it? Every gigabyte board I've used I've had the urge to bin or smach up due to their horrible BIOSs.
