Superb drive by Button today. Absolutely superb. Aggressive and composed, he fought and fought to make something of a bad hand; today he drove like a World Champion. Now you might say that Lewis or Vettel did better, after all they gained more places - and both of them did drive great races. But whereas Lewis mostly made it on a good strategy call from the Pits, and Vettel was in the fastest car on the grid (as Webber competently showed), Button repeatedly made position on the track. Impressive stuff.
And a great race from Webber; it's good to see on that top step, even if too late for his season. Ditto Kubica, he deserved a better season after the class he showed last year. Good too, from Kobayoshi, even if he perhaps should have been penalised for the incident with Nakajima.
As for Rubens, it's a shame that the puncture robbed him of a good result but even before that he had let the race get away from him. He was quick at stages but lacked the final cutting edge and consistency that might have left with a sniff at the championship. Although, again, he showed what a thoroughly likable chap he is when he paused to applaud Button after the race ended, and what may well be his last chance to be Champion slipped away.
