I think people are just saying it's the right way in terms of the players we have. We'd all love to to see England play a style of football that doesn't involve above head height, 15 yard+ passess every minute or two, but we simply don't develop the players to do that.I can't believe that 'the right way' is considered the way they are playing today and no, I'm not going on a rather lose and play well rant![]()
It's the major **** up with how the game is taught in this country at basically all levels. Who do we have that has the awareness, speed of thought, and is calm enough on the ball to know that in almost all cases there is a shorter pass on? Jack Wilshire? And who before that? Players like that are very few and far between for England sadly, so asking the players to show more technical ability isn't going to happen when they're not pushed to develop that side of their game above all.
