Meh Italy suck, they play awful football and had an easy draw in the world cup when they won it.
Australia in second round
Ukraine in the quarters
Germany in the Semi's
France in the final.

France aren't exactly the toughest of opposition either.
Like i say they play crap football, took Germany to extra time and France to penalties by playing 4-5-1 with LOLATONI out front.

Always think it would be much better for the likes of San Marino, Andorra, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein etc to pre qualify for these qualifying groups.
Least then they'd actually win a couple of games what exactly do they learn from getting mullered 5 or 6-0 every game? Might mean there are a few less waste of time matches like this as well.

I didn't say france were poor, i said there is tougher opposition than France.
My point was and still is, that Italy had a free ticket to the semi finals and if it wasn't for diving against Australlia they wouldn't have even reached the quarters.

In fairness to Walcott every single time the ball has gone near him, Andorra have put 3 or 4 men right around him, yet every time Young has it he has huge amounts of time and space on the ball, quite frustrating for Walcott I imagine

The fact that Buffon let in two goals the whole tournament, and ten different players scored all of Italys goals, thats a crap team?
And also, 7 of them were in the All-Stars squad that year.
