Have you read post 2498 by krooton? If you met those three points mentioned, then I think you should delete your profile and move on.

Another tip for plentyoffail is to log in regularly, even though you don't have any messages, etc. When people use the search function, the profiles that logged in most recently are going to be in the first or first few pages in the results.

Dating Direct/Meetic has never been free.. unless they're still doing the thing where women don't have to pay to send messages :(
 
Yes but there is no where from what i can see on their website to say guys have to pay......?

You do look rather nice, but a few of the posts in here have me thinking you "think" about things too much rather than just going with the flow..
Just be yourself. text him when you feel like it, reply when you think it's appropriate and get in there.
Who cares if he is a ****, you'll only find that out for sure once you've met the guy..

The best way I look at it is that every relationship you have is good practice for the next if they turn out to be a badun.

Spending ages sifting through the legions of chavvy, overweight, unattractive, multiple-off-sprung (I have no idea how I created that word!) girls - only to find that your messages were either read and deleted or unread and deleted.

Standards too high? Maybe, but I don't see the point it "settling", either in RL or the internet... so let the solitude continue :o:p

I've been registered there for a few Month but only been active for about a Month in total.

It's a bit 'meh' to be honest. Most of the women are either mentally disturbed or looking for someone who "wont mess them around"

I've met one person from there so far. She was nice but I didn't fancy here once we'd met.

Got a few more waiting in a holding pattern.
 
I guess the reason why POF is so flooded with 'chavy' types and those 'doing it for a laugh' is that it is completely free. Match.com and Dating direct are both ludicrously expensive though. There needs to be a middle ground. Enough to put off those 'doing it for a laugh' but not so much that 'casual' to 'potentially serious' users off.

nokinidea - you're right I do over think things. I try not to but it's partly because of my past relationships and also people at work saying "oh that's not a good sign" then something else saying "no no he's probably busy" etc so i get confused. im going with my gut and leaving it lol.

forgot to say as well that my next date with someone else isn't till next week so have a bit of a wait lol.
