I'd remove some of the negative stuff about going for the wrong person. Be positive as much as you can.

Remember you're trying to sell yourself as a guy they should want to be with.
 
"Was talked into giving this site a try" suggests you're not bothered. Answer more questions about kids too because they act as good filters. Preferring not to say something is to hide something. Your likes are generic too, the same as everyone else. Be original. I like going to the pub and staying indoors indicates lack of imagination, however true it may be.

There's plenty to get your profile to stand out from the herd.

Well, I have been on 2 dates from pof and can say they have been both good ones. One is now a 1st class mate, and the other is great to be with. 100% score rate on the dates ;).

I have actually supprised myself on the second one. I always thought myself as a sizest, but she is proving me wrong :D
 
I've been on a couple of dates from POF, earlier on this year. Am in a relationship now, so I cancelled my account.

Both went well, one of them I still talk to now and again, and the other I got fairly close with, 50% score rate, not bad for a first try.
 
Well between a 10 and a 12 if you go by her dress sizes. I wouldnt say she is fat, but I wouldnt say she is thin either. I'm quite shocked at how much I like her being that I would say my pefect girl is slender and tall.... doesn't stop me from wanting to work her out though :D
 
Well after a break of a few months I am back on the scene again. Last time I put a little bit of thought into messages, just say 30 secs as a hi. Read, Deleted every single time :mad: So this time I came up with a generic email that I copy & paste and put the bare minimum of effort in.

I've had a lot of replies! Same profile and pic so that hasn't changed. Seems less is more, we'll see if any pan out but at least I'm getting replies this time which is better for a start :)

I thought my effort was basic and to the point and was wondering if yours was similarly blunt. ;) It reminds me of a mate who thought it would be clever to use, "fancy a ****?" when out in clubs. He's still with a girl he pulled with that line a few years later! :eek:
