Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

How long are you guys chatting before asking the girls out?

I usually chat for quite a while and I'm not sure this is a good tactic. I was chatting to a Chinese girl but she struggles a bit with written English so I just asked her to meet me and she said yes. Bit of a risk on my part as well, I don't know much about her but she seems nice enough.

I'm thinking about trying the quick route with another girl. We chatted on msn for 3 and a half hours so I think we know a fair bit about each other. I don't want to blow it with this one though, do you think I should ask her to meet me or try and chat a bit more first?

It really depends on how the emails go. If after a few each way things are going well I'll drop a hint and see if they take it. Chatting for too long becomes nothing more than two people who don't really know each other asking how their day was.

Well the chat went really well, we have lots in common and I already made reference to us doing her date idea from her profile. She seemed quite receptive.

The only thing is she added me on Facebook and hasn't replied to an email I sent her on there. Maybe she hasn't received it but I dunno.

I think I will just ask her, I really can't be bothered messing around on POF any more, it's so frustrating when you put in a lot of time and effort and it goes nowhere.

Difficult to say. For me it's been anything from the same day or over a week.

I'm meeting someone tonight I've been emailing for 6 days.

She said yes to meeting up... she said "a coffee or something". Not sent a date/time yet!

I reckon I'm going to be super nervous at first which might make it a bit awkward... any tips for remaining calm?

Not really. Just do it. It can be a lot more nerve-racking than a normal date as you've never met the person before but it's the anticipation that's the worst. You'll probably be fine when you meet and then it gets easier the next time(s).

Try not to care too much. Just chill out as best you can.

Yeah... that sounds like good advice. I reckon if I come up with stuff to talk about before going, that will make me more relaxed.

I can't make this week and she's going to see her mum in Cyprus on sat for 10 days so it'll have to be when she gets back.

Might try and arrange another date with someone else before then.

Just got back from a first date with another girly, was last minute she asked to go the movies today. typically I wouldnt want to go to the movies for a first date but we had a chat and laugh before the movie and a good chat afterwards. Got on well and fingers crossed for a second date :)

just out of curiosity, what film did you go and see?

I've got my second date tommorow and I've no idea what to take her to see.
 
Just had some girl asking me for a threesome, with another guy.

She went straight to webcam, not bad. :p

Prob not going to meet her mind.
 
Anther first date done. Had a great time overall with no awkward silences etc. Seemed to click quite well.

However as usual my lack of flirting has, I think put a nail in this one. I really have hit a mental block as I can flirt with just about anyone however on a date I seem to be Mr HardtoRead!

Oh well, at least she had nice boobs that I managed to sneak a few crafty peeks at :)

There was nothing decent on in the main stream cinema, so I took her to an indie to see how i spend this summer which was a Russian film. The film itself was a little bleak but well shot and acted. This was a good choice as we are both a bit arty farty and showed we both have diverse taste.

It depends on the girl, I think that win win would be a good film to see which is out today i beleive. It all depeneds on yours and her taste though. Remember as much as you want to please her, some independent choices show that you have a strong charactor. women are attracted to that.
 
So any tips on what to say in the first message ? I'm obviously doing something wrong as i've sent about 8 or 9 now ( Hey... Keeping my options open ) and not a single reply.

Usually just talk about what i enjoy, ideal first date, what i look for in a woman and how i like to treat a woman... Ask a little about them in return, and thats about it.

Missing something ? :-P
