My female housemate is slovakian. She's intelligent, funny, very warm and has lots of good looking friends :D

The main thing is to get out there... chat to 3-5 women... go out with each of them a few times and see if you click... if you don't... move on and try the next 3-5....

I sounds cold but everyone on that site is really there to meet new people...

Seriously - the best thing since sliced bread..
 
Nothing to be embarrassed by nowadays - just go for it - consider it just as casting your net wider!

In the end I've found a brilliant man in a friend-of-a-friend, but without the internet dating I would NEVER have had the confidence to gently keep our friendship progressing into the night where I pulled him down for a kiss and onto the awesomeness it's now become...
 
half heartedly tried PoF, but to be honest its mainly full of bored single mums, sure there are some pretty girls on there but they get inundated by men.

What gets annoying is when they message you first seeming interested, and then dont bother to reply to your reply.

It is a bit of a confidence blower using these sites, I actually deleted my account on there last week as its just not worth it. I'm pretty shy and find it hard enough to even meet women let alone talk to them.

Good on you those that have made it work tho.
 
i listed on a dating site when all my mates were at uni when they told me about it and that you could add friends.

i did however meet my now fiancee (and mother of my daughter) on myspace, so sort of internet dating site based. rarther strange thinking about it as it was only the fact i was drunk sending messages to local people that we met

Since I joined the site a few months ago i've had a ton of messages from women ranging from what can only be described as crones, to stunners who any man would gawp at in the street.

Well until today I had only met one person off the site, back around Valentines Day,l and that only lasted a couple of weeks before I decided we weren't a good match and ended it. So on the search went, and recently I started chatting to two ladies that looked particularly nice... one a petite blonde financial advisor and the other a tall blonde form Slovakia who had been here 10 years, looked very nice form the pics.

Anyway today I decided to be a bit crafty and arranged to meet both women on the same day. The first, the petite blonde, I met in the morning, and she was what could only be described as a "safe bet". Very pretty, with impish little features and a lovely smile... very nice personality too and earns good money but i'm not sure if she would be my cup of tea long term... something just didn't feel right. She wants to meet again however, and it was obvious she fancied me, so I must have done something right. Problem is she didn't give me any flutters, and as such i'll probably not see her again.

Then in the afternoon/evening I arranged to meet the second woman... the Slovakian retail manager. Oh. My. ****ing. God. This girl was such a stunner that I had to force myself to act normal and cool when I greeted her and gave her a peck on the cheek... and i'm not usually fazed by looks. 5ft 9in, blonde, a figure that could have been picked out from some lads mag... words don't quite seem enough to portray her on here. She turned up in some little denim shorts and a pink t-shirt (it was hot today) and I swear it was insta-stiffy material. We went for a drink, and whereas with the petite blonde conversation was a tiny bit mundane... with this girl we just hit it off and started laughing and joking straight away. She goes to the gym so that was a good starting point, and was just in general one of the nicest, coolest people I have ever met, and intelligent too. Wherever she walked heads would literally turn... male and female... and I must say I felt the dogs nadgers walking into the pub with her lol, she was the best looking girl in there (imo) by miles.

After we finished the drinks (we were both driving hence didn't stay in the pub) she suggested going home to get her cinema pass, and so I drove her there and we returned to town to go to the flicks to watch Wanted (whether it's an action movie or a comedy i'll never know. Possibly both.) After the film we walked back to our cars and said goodbye, and like a chuffing moron I didn't kiss her because I wasn't sure whether she felt the same way or not. Why the hell I get so easily flustered with women I really like i'll never know... but then again it's so rare (i'm hyper-fussy) that I meet girls that give me the butterflies that I guess I was just worried about her pulling away or something. I needn't have worried... as she just texted me saying she wants to see me again... so next time i'm going to man up and get to work. I just can't believe my luck... easily the best looking girl i've seen in ages, and she wants a repeat performance... win!

I suggest any guys going through a dry spell to go to that site... it's ******* awesome. :D:D:D

The girl i work with is a BIG plentyoffish fan, she even run some singles night for them now and again. Good on you being that open too and i must admit, i am a little conservative of meeting people off the net, keep thinking they are not what they seem. I suppose the thinking can go both ways but it is this "barrier" that stop me meeting people off the net, it takes me a lot of time to trust someone, more when off the net.

But may be I should try the net......and find myself a easter european stunner :p
 
I have done it loads of time, very easy as well.

I have met around 30 women over the last 2 years, I'll be honest and 99% of them were just a casual thing.

Met a girl recently that's turning in to something serious though.
 
I've used a few, paid for one, and what have I got out of it? Well sod all lol, I mail loads of girls, never get replies, and never get sent emails in the first place. Seems I'm more of a looser on internet dating sites than I am in bars, and that's saying something lol.

Ah well, could be worse I guess haha.
