Definitely, I'm glad I did it :)

My new chat up line:

"Hi there, do I know you?"

"I don't think so"

"Oh, maybe it's because I've been on TV"

"I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal"

:D

P.S. Well done for having the confidence to do something like that. I wouldn't do it in a million years! :o I bet your mates are loving it. Haha.

I just got back from the night at a girls (from PoF) uni room, got on really well in real life too, going out for my birthday next week in London. Was quite surprised she asked me to spoon her while we was watching films, held my arm and hand tight and was resting her head against mine for hours. Very good sign. :D

lol @ the details, sorry mate.

aww bless :D

Just got told I'm stuck up because I sent a reply to someone saying I didn't think we'd be a good match. Well clearly he just proved my point! :p

What a day!

Met the girl I'd been emailing/talking to. Up until the date we were a perfect match. Great communication and chemistry etc. We met at her house as she was so comfortable with how we got on.. However she has a small dog that kept trying to bite me so rather than concentrate on her I had to fend of the bloody dog. This resulted in her saying that they're wasn't any chemistry between us and that she wanted to call the date off after 30 minutes. So I drove 50 miles there and back for 30 minutes of being bitten buy a fluffy rat!

I've delelted my PoF account and given up on it for now. Don't get me wrong I've had many dates and met loads of women who have been great, just not for me. So I've decided to take a long break as I'm tired of the whole thing at the moment.

Good luck to everyone. It does work, however I've been that busy dating I've not had time do anything else.

I'm surprised she agreed to meet at her house and not somewhere public. I'd feel as though that would put me at a massive disadvantage as she would feel right at home, literally! It's hard enough as it is let alone being on away turf!

To be honest I wasn't nervous as we'd spoke for hours on the phone. I feel like the dog should have been kept out of the way while I was there but I didn't know until I was there that the dog is her 'baby' and needed it's approval. Funny thing is she said "Oh she doesn't get on this well with strangers so that's a good sign" 20 minutes later she comes out with "Can I be honest, I'm really not feeling a connection" No **** your bloody dog won't leave me alone so how the hell I'm I supposed to concentrate on you!

Right guys and gals I need your help..

As I mentioned before the only area I seem to struggle with is flirting! I've had two in a row now who have both said they can't read me as I don't flirt. I do all the usual things like decent eye contact, the odd complient along with a couple of arm/hand touches, I listen and respond to whatever they say etc.

However they've both said It's like talking to an old friend rather than someone who wants a relationship!!!!!!!!!

Personally I like to get to know someone first. When I do I flirt like it's going out of fashion but for the first couple of dates I really like to get to know someone.

So.... Help! What flirting do you (boys and girls) do on a first date? I'm really hitting a brick wall at the moment which is costing me!

This is something that I had a lot of trouble with when I was younger.
I had this idea in my head (subconciously at least) that any kind of blatant flirting with girls I'd only just met was kinda creepy and offlimits. I'd always let them make the first move in terms of physical contact - I wouldn't stroke their hand until they rested on my leg for example.

But the reality is that a lot of men can be quite forward, so girls will get accustomed to that behaviour. I think as long as you are witty you can at least slide some risque lines into conversation and see how they respond to it. Observational stuff can be good, say there is something saucy in a film you are watching, or there's a couple in front on the bus eating each others faces, or even something like reading out horoscopes for your relevant star signs (in a light-hearted way) can be a starting point.

I'm probably the worst person to give advice (apart from anything else I'm off the market now!), and as the above indicates I tended to need some sort of 'prop' to get going. Sit me in an empty room with a girl and I wouldn't know where to start :)
