Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

good call. I Dont get it when girls add picture of them with guys all over them, especially when it the ex. All I think is they like guys over them that why it a picture they specifically chose so that'll be what they like in relationship.

ok I emailed like 20 girls (going some distance now) hope someone replies. They all seem to be losing hope cos of too many messages whilst I'm losing hope because of not enough. All I want is one reply!
 
Went out last night, despite me having no job currently I got pulled out by a mate and managed to only spend a tenner, But I got chatted up by some really nice girl who said I look like Michael Ball :D, me being bag of nerves really regrets not getting her number (because of current situ I always thinks it's best not to do anything), That's me all over though, and the reason I'm on PoF.

I'm nervous in clubs.
 
Been an interesting week for me. Received an email from a girl who lives in LA saying she knew it was a long shot but really wanted to get to know me after reading my profile. I'm not looking for long distance and LA is REALLY long distance but I thought what the hell.

We've been sending long emails for the whole week every day. She's coming over with work and will be staing in London for 2 months during which time she wants us to get to know each other better. IF we decide we want to see how things go she's said she'll be staying in Hawaii over christmas at her parents beach house and has given me an invite.

Think I'm going to roll with this one lol.

Seriously though my brother married an American and it ended in disaster... she was so high maintenance it was unreal. American women are ****ing freaks tbh.

Having seen her picture, getting to know her and knowing how loaded her parents are I'd take the hit.

She's Italian but lives in LA :)

I think i am done with internet dating or maybe its just me, who knows! This girl e-mailed me about 3 weeks ago and when i added her to Facebook i found out that she was a friend of two of my friends (who are married) so i offered to take her out, she said yes then we met, was nice and we chatted for hours.
We met again then went out a second time, was great and we chatted again for hours. I asked her out again but now she seems really distant and not giving me a proper answer. I think she isnt interested but i dont know. I dont want to bug her for another date but i dont want to be an idiot and ask if she likes me, Anyone else get this problem?
 
yep - your gut instinct is generally right though, probably not interested, maybe drop her a line in a week or so or let her contact you, you've done your part tbh

Decent pictures and profile mate, that's all it takes.

I wouldn't class myself as good looking, just average with some good photo's ;)

I do get a lot of emails from people who aren't my type but I'm not going to rave to you about them. Currently besides the one in LA I'm seeing two others for first dates next week.

Like I said, all you need is a couple of decent pictures and a profile that doesn't make you sound like a muppet and the emails will start to flow :)

:( you need to get a better profile pic then as the world of online dating is quite shallow, use google images if necessary :p

I'm getting on well with a really nice Czech girl right now :)

I actually met her online and in person a few times last year but I didn't really show my interest and she ended up getting a bf but we still remained friends, my own fault tbh.

However she's now single again and came around my place last weekend for a meal and not only did she love my cooking she seemed to be giving off loads of positive signals i.e. playing with her hair, saying the view out of my window was romantic, I said I'd like to take her to London so I can show her around and that went down well too. She's returning the favour in the next week or two at her place and I'll probably make my move, fingers crossed :D

yeah i think you are right. i wouldn't say i'm bad looking just the only images i have aren't that good. i tried taking some of myself but i don't think it works as good for guys as the myspace style ones do for girls so need to ask someone to take good shots of me for online dating as i'm not getting any replies :o
 
why do people put up fake profiles? I can't get my head round what it is they're getting from it as from what i understand they wont get email address, details etc until it's given to them.

sent someone a message on pof the other day. i hadn't had a reply but noticed they were online all the time and thought it was odd to see someone on so much so decided to do a google image search on profile pic and surprise surprise it's a stolen image along with the other 4 images on the profile. i don't get it
