Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I'm fed up with online dating.

I've sent loads of fun emails and haven't had much joy. Some of the girls are just too much like hard work. They reply but only short replies and don't seem to attempt to continue a converstaion. Fair enough if they don't wanna but it seems pointless replying in the first place.

I've received a few messages where the girl has emailed first but they have all been pretty damn ugly (imo).

Too hard to find a match. Think I'm gonna give up as I'm wasting too much time on it.

Any hot-shot developers want to design a new site with me? It works like this. You log in and view the members ticking the ones you are interested in. Only mutual matches are allowed to email each other. Saves a lot of time and hassle.

I got invited out for a meal last weekend by a girl from there who'd I previously met and not "clicked" that well together.
Oh yea, she paid for the meal and we slept together LOL.

If only I could find someone that I was interested in that did the same...

WTF does that mean?

kthxbye?

send her a message back saying sorry wrong person, it was meant to go to this fit bird...

I've wanted to ask people who've done this online dating lark before: how do you greet the person you're out with for the first time? So you've never met in person before, and all you've exchanged are some emails with potentially flirty comments.

So...how what do you do when you do when you meet them first them? It's not like you're being introduced to someone you've never met before via (so you don't shake hands), but you *haven't* met them before! Giving someone a hug might be a bit forward, but doing nothing seems kinda tame.

What do you do?!

I think shaking their hand is off the cards, far too formal.

Pull a chair out and ask them what they want to drink is a good start. :D

On all the occasions so far, I have been there first, sat at the bar when they walk in, one it was lashing down with rain and she was soaked so that started an avenue of convo straight away, another, I left it until the last minute to say meet somewhere and she arrived all flustered lol, again straight into convo about the route there and the diversions she had to take.

Just go with the flow

I met my current girlfriend on facebook!

Found her randomly on the "are you interested?" application, sent her a message one night got chatting from there, talked on MSN for just under a month, and arranged to go to Alton Towers for a first date!

A bit mental for me as i had never done something like this before! So i turn up at her house (never ever met before) jumps in my car and off we go, quite awkward!

THats right before i run over a carcus on the road about 3 miles from her house ripping a fuel pipe off my car.......which i didnt realise until i was on the M5 and was watching the fuel gauge phyiscally move. Pulled over looked under the car and it was wee'ing like a dog! Put a screw in it that i found, filled the car back off and had a cracking day at alton towers in the end!

6 months later we are still together :D

First and only time i had tried to find a potential GF online, and it worked!

There's a sort of 'facebook-emo' picture that people take too.. the photo comes out like they're emo.. so they normally get rejected.

Anyway - my last two girlfriends have been from online dating. One we found zero chemistry.. the other is a really nice lass, but we both know it's not working so we decided to just be friends (we've been to Ireland since then together as friends!).

So I'm currently just starting again.. it takes a while of chatting to get into the stride and I've chatted to some girls that are hard work. They want to talk to me and even get in contact but the flow of chat is initiated from my side only! I keep thinking - Jesus woman, make an effort..
The funniest thing is when a woman get the hump about chatting to other women when you've not even physically met them. Run away!
Seriously I think of it like a room full of women and as you'd normally do - chat to them and narrow them down (at the same time if need be). They do the same anyway..

Can you search for people just from the UK using that app?
