Wuhoh.

I'm finding that, not unlike at bars, girls will view you but not necessarily start a conversation. When I message people that viewed me (especially viewed repeatedly), I'm greeted with a lot of enthusiasm!

How do you know if they have viewed you repeatedly?

So far less than a week in I have been chatting to a few nice girls, starting to get the hang of all this, just never 100% sure who is interested from the whole viewing thing, seems a lot of women either aren't or don't like making the first message...

i've sent flowers to my girl who iirc i've been seeing slightly less time then you have, so i'd say go for it, though some reasons flowers seem less serious then a card does. you have to do something for a girl you're dating on valentines so why not
 
I havent been on OCUK for a while just thought i would update you on how my experince of this went.

Met 3 girls went on a few dates with each coudnt realy put my finger on it but none of them felt "right" One of them i was keen on but she randomly started to ignore me after agreeing another date.

Anyway i met the 4th girl and instantly felt right at ease with her none of the usual pressures of trying to impress it was just so easy with her. We went on 4 dates before we officially became a couple.

Its only been 3 months and we've already been on holiday together but ive never met anyone like her it just feels much better and easier than any other relationship ive been in.

You have to sift through some real rubbish to find anything good on dating sites but im glad i went on it, took 3 months to get there.

Good work :)

I've been struggling to find enthusiasm to make use of my new Match account - just not really in the mood. Hearing a success story might just give me the motivation to make more effort!

Thanks, im hoping im done with dating sites now for good!

you realy do need to put the effort in to get anything out of it sending loads of messages out to people, even then you might get an un interesting date that you have to pay for! :D

Nice work, my girl is working late tonight so we went out last night, suprised her with a card and small box of chocolates when i dropped her off, went down well:p
 
Got a date tomorrow and I'm actually nervous. Very unlike me. Problem is, we've had such great email conversations and later on text messages that it's only set me/her up for disappointment. Ok, not necessarily but we've already covered just about everything. Be interesting to see if we can continue the 'spark' face to face.
 
I got married on Facebook with this ridiculously cute girl, granted it was out of pity for each other being single on Vday but ah we'll, we've been skyping a lot and I actually feel really good.

Well I went back onto OKCupid a few weeks ago to give it another go and met a guy straightaway. We've stayed over at each other's quite a bit and get on really well (same sense of humour, haha!). Even though it's not even been 3 weeks yet, I was a bit disappointed to see a message from OKCupid pop up on his phone the other day. I know we're not official, but I was hoping he might not be going on the site because he was trying to get to know me - or is that weird of me to think that?

We have a winner. This is the answer. BUT but but but it's not always the best as sadly quite a few girls require you to initiate and carry the conversation making this risky if you're used to using it as I've had once or twice. If however she is normal and sane this technique is exactly what you should be using. In fact in general (out of the dating context) it's a very useful tool.

POF was fine for meeting people, taking a chance, looking for casual etc.

In my experience, Match was frequented by far more genuine honest women, those you would consider proper long-term gf/wife material.

All depends what you're looking for I guess....
