Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I've signed up to online dating again, however I haven't uploaded a pic or updated my profile yet. Don't know what to write arghhhh!!!

It's a total pain at first. Worse than a job application.

Upload a pic- I'd imagine that you have enough. One of face, one of you in nice dress so can see whole person and one other. But actually it seems most successes occur because they have lots of photos. I reckon you want 7.

Just write whatever you like, as you are female your chances are immediately increased tenfold of getting messaged/viewed/asked out. I'd just be honest as to what you're looking for. Eg.
Tall man, not obsessed with football and 'banter', not a narcissist who spends more time getting ready than me, has some direction in life, thoughtful, able to do things on the spur of the moment, actually wants to spend time with one another and is keen on going to real ale festivals and ballet. Not afraid of posing for pictures with loaves of Hovis on first dates to be assessed by strangers on the internet.

Obviously that's just some drivel I've just barfed out on here but my point, I think, is illustrated.

^ wouldn't go for so many negatives/really sort of don't be like that phrases. From what I have found so far it tends to be the draw/cause of the people who give online dating a bad name... (sounds awful and on my high horse suddenly after very little experience)

I, so far, have concentrated on simple positive things, a few I like to say watch this sport, cook, something interesting and a little glimpse of music taste. Plus leave something to ask about, an interesting first date that's more than what ever you fancy or a beer or say an interesting fact or personality trait. Makes it simpler for the approach than "hey, nice bewbs" and seems to have gotten some fairly appropriate girls interested (not too many bad conversations and not too many ignores, so far)

Yeah I tried to avoid saying what I wasn't looking for in a woman - who knows, maybe there are great women out there who watch reality TV? :D
Having said that, my profile needs some work - might get on with that this afternoon.

Of course it needs to be positive, but its just an idea to have a think about what you want before you post it.

So yeah- basically what the guys above said

Well I uploaded a pic and filled in some info on my profile last night. Woke up to find 10+ messages in my inbox :o

Let's see if I can get some dates lined up for when I return from holiday :D

I bet it is in some ways but then 90% of the guys will be going for one thing only.. finding a genuine one will be a lot harder.. i would love to get back into some casual dating and some fun for the summer but i have so little time i dont feel like wasting their time lol.

Local fogbeasts on the other hand sending 3 word messages in the early hours of the morning....

:D

:D

Just did a search for people in my area, not admiring the local talent.

There are quite a few down to earth women in their mid 20s around here, most want to "see how things go" which is fine all the same.

One in Princess Jasmine fancy dress...

Do you just look at their profiles or have you actually dated a few? :p
