Hurrah, I messaged a girl on OkCupid because we had a good match %, her profile read well, and she is stunning. I sent a bit more of a quirky message to try and stand out and it bloody worked.

She replied to give me her email address and asked me to email her :)

I have done it 5 times over a period of 6 years. I'd say it is the best way to get out there and meet girls. Lets be honest a club while is good for a snog and a dance isn't a great place to find someone, we are all wreaked and forget having a convo with the loudness.

My advice with internet dating is to hold back with the expectations, it is very easy to get carried away through the internet, txts, and phone calls that lead up before the actual meet up. Treat the meet up as a night out with no pressures and what ever happens, happens. So many people can get swept away by the whole first thing before even meeting. It can lead to such a let down when the meet up finally happens... photos may not tell the truth and as for personalities; they can only be seen when you finally do meet up.

Treat it as a night out have fun and see how it goes.. I say!

Ahhh finally decided to give on POF, just deleted my profile...its a waste of time really...none of the idiots are serious on there. I had a few emails come in last week..replied back to them but no reply...so dont quite get why the hell message me to say they want to get to know me but yet dont reply back:confused:

Anyhow that site is a complete and utter mess...just looking at it hurt my eyes:p. Ive had much more success using the girlsdateforfree website...yes you have to pay £7 a week but my success rate is far higher on there...since Jan ive met 4 women which was quite good...just a shame it didnt work out. My ex from last yr...met her through there and was with her for 8 mths...she still comes to my profile lol..stalker alert!!:p.

But cant say i didnt try...i sent a few emails on POF but most if not majority of the women are all pretty minging...well i guess when you get to my age 36...your options are somewhat limited lol. Saying that though fri i got a message from a lass in Bristol on girlsdateforfree who seems really keen..shes quite hot as well..med/greek look about her and a pretty fit bod on her...the good thing is that shes my age but with no kids so currently talking and texting her...probably see her on the weekend. So for me POF isnt worth it even being free...id rather pay and get a much better selection of women to choose from.

I've had 2 MSN invites in the past day. The way one of them has come about is absolutely hilarious. Here check this out .. :D

Ok the context to this is that she sent me a message back saying I was a weirdo for messaging a 16 year old and that she was going to report me. This was all said tongue in cheek. She also said she didnt know what to say in reply to my message so she said she 'wouldnt say anything'. Okkkayyy.

Anyway, at this point the fact she was 16 raised serious alarm bells with me AND, GET THIS, on her profile she states quite explicitly she is bisexual LOL! (Bear in mind, I dont even read profiles at all)

So, she lied about her age and it turns out she is bisexual. Thats cool, I've nothing against bisexual chicks. But lying about her age is a massive issue. Anyway, check out my initial reply.
