I've had a slow afternoon and with all this talk of dating and sharing profiles I've created another. Feel free to rip it apart :)

I'm going to include more pictures but I only have two available at the moment.

First sentence in and I thought.... "This is a long profile, don't know if I can be bothered to read this". I think maybe shorten it down a little? I'm not very good with reading lots of text in one go.. I've forgotten what you've written in your profile as soon as I finished reading the last paragraph :( Maybe structure your profile into 3 sections, for example 1) talk about your personality, 2) your interests and 3) what you're looking for?

It's great to be able to spend even just a few minutes with someone popping in on the way home from work for a quick...
I thought woah hang on a second... and then I saw 'cuppa' :p

Looks good to me dude :)

Thanks mate :)

I understand what you're saying, however I think it's a double edged sword. It's almost a copy and paste of my previous profile which I had up for over a year. Most of the people who emailed me commented on how my profile had a decent amout of content... However I'm thinking of changing it around as this is the 'new me' well on there is is lol

You're not the first to mention that ;)

My gf also commented on the length and detail in my profile.

I wanted the prospective readers to get a proper feel for what I am about, and if they thought it was too long or couldn't be bothered, then that is a sign that we weren't suitable.

Having the majority gloss over it isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's about catching the attention of the needle in the haystack. :)

It's a shame you're taken as we're sooooo on the same page ;)

Anyway, I have a date on Friday which what seems like such a perfect opportunity I'm not going to post the profile here. I messaged her just as she'd signed up, didn't even have a pic on and we've been exchanging messages for a week now. Wow, I can't even find a fault, we're both so open and talking like we're already a couple and we've not even met. We've added each other to Facebook and seen each other at our worst and we know each others ins and outs... it just can't go wrong! I really hope it isn't an anti-climax, perfect isn't a word I ever use but wow... on a personal level we're ideal.

Wish me luck for tomorrow night, I'm bound to scare her off! :D

Good luck mate :)

I've been in a similar situation so many times then it's all gone down the pan when we've met. It's like listening to the hype of a new film before you see it lol.

Thanks. I know what you mean, I had a few last year when I was using it then and I had one last week. That was a bizarre situation as we went to school together, she lived next door to me and my ex for two years, grew up with my cousins and we'd only once when she complained about a dog we were looking after. She didn't recognise me on the site though, haha! But that wasn't to be.

But this girl just seems beyond those others and I'm usually bang on the money with these things so I'm quietly confident that I'll just be myself and it'll be fine :)

Gotta say your profile is spot on, tis a shame it's not working out for you. I suppose girls/women your age are going to be very picky and defensive. I find that a almost everyone on PoF has been damaged by a previous relationship in some way and it requires a bit of an open mind to see past that. I'm a prime example of that, it's been 12 months since I went through hell and she still ends up in convo. I need to kill that one off for good if I want to move on properly.

Your location.... *Sniggers* :o
I don't understand the 'Am I your Nemo' headline?

Haha, good old Clit-hero-e ;)

Plenty of fish? Finding Nemo? No?
