I'd like to think I'm perfectly normal!

I think the reason why I've been single for 3 years is probably because people are afraid to approach me in real life.
I'm not a bubbly, in-your-face kind of girl.. Some people say I often look grumpy, too cool etc.. so maybe that's why?

How many emails would you say is acceptable before asking someone to meet up? I have emailed about 7-8 girls, have had a bit of email tennis with them, then nothing. The just don’t replay back. This has happened to about 5 of them, i am wondering if some other dude has already made the move

Grapevine has it, that getting that phone number asap is vital (get to that step of meeting in real life), online chat is boring, therefore you stick to it, and your boring. Next!

Update on my situation. Been back on a couple of days and had a bunch of emails mostly from women who don't have the ability to write more than "Hey letz chat sometime"

I've sent a couple of emails and as usual had no replies. It's not like I'm even punching above my weight lol.

Man we often say not to put a woman on a pedestal, but I believe some of you guys (and girls) need to put yourself on a pedestal and regain some confidence!

Confidence is one of the most important parts to meeting someone.

I just have the viewpoint that sharing your life with someone special is nice, but if you don't manage to find that person, it shouldn't be a tragedy.

I think that if you don't have a Plan B and other goals, then you're pretty much doomed to be miserable.

I don't normally think about the future to much, but I believe everyone will meet someone at some point in their lives, you included.

People that want to be with someone and make an effort to do so, are bound to find someone eventually.

This thread has reminded me of something actually (that I'll share now I'm sober)

I occasionally visit a friend who lives in Brittany and on countless occasions we've been sitting down for lunch with the radio on. In France they seem to have a dating service via the radio on some stations where people say what they're looking for and it's read out.

OK, sounds not too radical, except that every time I'm usually sitting there wondering if my French is dodgy, as you have requirements that translate to something like, "must be pretty, blonde, slim, sexy, submissive, good at housework and gardening".

I would say lose the shades as it hides most of your face and add a few more pics. There are a couple of spelling/grammar mistakes.

and regarding the prefer not to say on kids, I never understand why people put this as there is an option to say undecided. Would you mind helping me to understand why blokes do that lol. When guys have that next to anything it makes me think "why do they want to be secret about it"

I'm sure you will find someone soon. I think personally it would be nice having a bf who is musical as its rare. I have one of those yamaha keyboards that teaches you how to play but because of lack of space I can barely use it. Id love to learn to play the piano properly one day and I love a lot of classical music. Same as I would love to learn to play the guitar. I've had two bfs who could play but they never taught me

if you found someone with similar interests would you ever be willing to share your piano passion with them? I think in relationships you need similarities but also differences so that you can introduce each other new things.

They should have an option for in the future, because I do want kids, but not any time soon.

Also, no-one got any advice on mine that I posted a couple of pages ago?
