Aye it's typical. When I was signed up a couple of months back I got a message out the blue from a girl saying that I looked like Matt Bellamy from Muse. She was gorgeous, liked reading her conspiracy theories, comics, seemed a little different in a good way, and of course lived in Norway.

Aye, I never understand it. it's harmless aye but I try to write short messages back if that happens, just to diffuse the conversation without making myself look ignorant.

Though, I'm glad I had a date that went ok but felt no physical attraction the other day, it's given me loads of confidence to continue and actually take myself seriously.

Yup, the biggest part of being successful with women is knowing you can be. At the end of the day, all we are is just some skin attached to muscle and bone. Everything else is just a creation of our personalities, and what we've made of our short time here.

For me, my confidence is mostly limited by the fact I still live with my family and have a crappy retail job at 24. So when I see 22 year old girls who already have decent careers or own their own place I mentally think, meh they won't be interested.

I know the feeling mate, One main reason why I never really wanted to go out with anyone was because I literally earn no money, my self confidence is abysmal.

Guess I'm looking for someone to boost it a bit and to take my life further.
 
Still failing massively online, got a very cute blonde nurses number last night down the local though. Chatted for quite a while and looks like we'll be going out for a meal when i work up the balls to phone her.
 
I've messaged loads of people on the sites so I don't think you should get down by it, many lack of replies too. Sometimes things just click though and it makes you wonder why you was wasting your time messaging some of the others.

OkCupid is pretty crap I find, there's a serious lack of the female on it. Lol.

Edit: Met like 3 now friends from the sites though, people I got along really well with but just never got around to going out with. :cool: The girl I'm in talkings with now is really nice though and does seem like a possible success story. I'm done getting too optimistic however. :p

Kerchief? Pffft MisPlunk sounds better. Anyway, Kerplunk has now asked me out for coffee, feed him toasted corn and asked for my home address and telephone number.

I've got a couple of dates lined up this week after exchanging a few emails. First is tonight with a lovely looking 29 year old nurse. Then one on Wednesday with a 27 year old Solicitor who also models part time!

Been a busy weekend as I've had two friends of friends email me via facebook asking if I'm interested in going for a drink. Looks like I'm getting some good karma payback :)
 
Whats the general accepted time to leave before contacting someone whose number i just got? I'm rubbish at this whole dating thing.

I facebook stalked her as shes a friend of the fiancee of someone who plays for my footy team and i gotta say i've done pretty well! No beer goggles effect at all haha.
