You just need to adapt to internet dating. I had to do the same.
In real life situations you meet say one person every time you go out at the weekend. So in a Month if you go out on every Saturday night you may meet 5 different people. Of those 5 you're not guaranteed a date with any of them or maybe you get one or two..
With internet dating you 'meet' multiple women every time you log on. You may send out 5 emails in one go and get a few replies that eventually lead nowhere, no replies or even one that goes somewhere then fizzles out.
In one evening on PoF you can do several approaches which may take you Months in the real world.
Don't take it personally. There are litrially hundreds of women on there who will want to talk to you, but there will be thousands that don't.
I've got on well with loads of women only to be ignored. So what, there's ALWAYS another one just around the PoF corner who wants to talk to you
I class myself as an average looking chap. Had a great date last night, got another tomorrow with someone else, another on Thursday with the first one and one next Tuesday with contestant number 3 (if that all makes sense)
