Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Was it a first date? perhaps she regretted making out etc so soon, or didn't want to seem like she was a **** and backed off, women are crazy like that :P Even if they want to do something, they worry how it might look etc.

Was a second date, I even asked her on a Third towards the end which she said yes to.

dunno, I'm just really really paranoid.

Really want to talk to her on Facebook or something but don't want to seem like I'm pestering her, I think Phoning her would be a bit too much.

edit - Just had a message back, I feel a lot better now. Never really being in a relationship before and really liking her has made me somewhat paranoid I think.

Cheers for the support though Spy/Broken.

Slightly edited version of what I posted in a private group on Facebook:

They were two hours late arriving (the producers), so we had to rush things a bit. We did about 30 mins or so of shooting of me with my camera, setting up fake landscape shots and taking photos of flowers in my garden (they were going to come to the wedding I'm doing on Friday but the couple didn't feel comfortable with it). They will only use a bit of these shots but I have no doubt they'll look crap, especially as the sky was white and it was foggy!!

I then got on with cooking, which was really bloody difficult as I had to keep doing things over and over again so they could get different shots, which then messed up all the timing, and because I was stressed I just kind of made things up as I went along. To cut a long story short, the food was all good, it all tasted very nice, but naturally having cooked it all I struggled to finish my starter and main, I just wasn't very hungry.

The girl!!! Well, she was called Nichola (People call her Nic apparently...awkward! (OcUK note, I'm called Nick!)), she was 30!!!!! (Another OcUK note, I'm 25) But she looked maybe 28 tops. I wasn't sure at first, probably because I was worrying about food and what I was saying on camera, but she was actually pretty hot, she was really well dressed and by the end of the night (and after a fair amount of wine (turns out I like wine)) I was definitely keen on her.

It was ridiculously awkward trying to make conversation whilst being filmed, I really hope that doesn't come across on the show. As time went on it was fine, and I was surprised at how long they left us alone (although the camera was rolling) to just chat. She seemed really cool, we had a very similar outlook on many things and she was just quite easy going. I didn't get the impression she was massively interested in me, she seemed to enjoy the food and she said she had a good night, but I don't know whether I made that much of an impression. It was so hard to be myself, I think I just came across as a nice person, that's it, nothing special, Which is annoying! But I couldn't exactly start cracking jokes about Nazis, paedophiles, and pasty smashing, which of course is what I would have like to have done!!

I hope I don't come across as a schlong on TV, they made me say some stuff I didn't feel massively comfortable with, but hopefully it's ok.

So yeah, all done, she will now make her choice, they're back today filming at 9am (they're late again) for an hour which will be me getting ready for my potential last date, then I'll either receive a microwave meal or she'll be there to take me out in the evening I think, not entirely sure what is happening!

I am so relieved it's all over, but naturally dreading seeing it all on TV!!

How legendary it would have been if you could have got some sort of mention of pasty smashing on there, shame really :(

But GG regardless!

Haha, no, fortunately not.

I did contemplate sneaking something in there, I actually printed off a Forever Alone image and I taped it up in the kitchen, but it was so obvious that I took it down.

Besides, they filmed me for about 12 hours, and only about 15 minutes will be in the show I think, so even if I did get words in there the chance of it being shown is pretty minimal.

Unfortunately not, all they said was it is the second the last episode in the series (maybe 6 shows in total?) and they haven't aired the first one yet, so it might be a couple of months yet. Don't worry, I'll post up clips when it happens :)

What do you guys put in a message when you like someones profile? How long should the message be and is there a secret formula for a successful message!

I haven't had a girlfriend, I've liked girls and all that, known a few nice girls who I really liked but they had boyfriends or lived too far. So I've decided to join POF and see what the deal is!

I wouldn't say I'm a good looking guy and I'm 21. There are quite a few girls around my area from POF but I have no idea what to send really! Never done anything like this before.

It depends on their profile as to what you say however I usually just start with something like.

Hey, I'm Neil.

Mention something about their profile and ask a question regarding it

Maybe relate that to something similar to what you do. Afterall most peope are looking for someone who shares common interests.

Mention somthing about yourself and sign of with.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Neil.

I've got 3 out of 3 replies today using the above so it can't be that bad :)

Slight brag from me but I needed to lol.

Emailed two women today who I'd class as being very attractive. Few emails either way and without asking they've both given me their numbers.

Result :)

Oh right cheers for that, sounds simple enough to do, hopefully I have the same success as you haha. Do you guys normally get a reply back from everyone you send a message too?

I'd say on average I get 3/5 reply but that's just a good guess.

There have been times when I've not had any replies and wondered what the hell is wrong with me then days like today when two hotties give me their number almost straight away!

Ive been trying out internet dating for a few months now, not really had much success but then Ive not really been putting the effort in, I suppose you only get out what you put in?

I did however meet a girl at a gig in London on Tuesday, she was a friend of a friend, we hit it off and spent most of the night all over each other, only problem is she lives in London and I like about 100 miles away :/ lameeeeee

Hahaha that would have been amazing.

You could have cooked her a forever calzone though....
