India appeared to have made a mistake in tweeting that Internet Explorer 9 final will be made available on March 24, because the tweet was quickly pulled, but not before The Windows Club managed to save a screenshot of the tweet!

Ah, I've read absolutely nothing about it, nor used the beta's won't affect my home machines, but I guess work will be left out then :)

Wonder how many workplaces are stil using XP in bulk and how many have/are switchign to vista/7 instead?

Can't wait. Folks in the UK will be able to download it on the 15h as the launch event in America doesn't start until 9pm west coast. I hope we'll also see FF4 final shortly.

Only just started using it, for the past 5 mins.

Its slick and i like the maximum viewing space approach like opera and chrome where there is only an address bar at the top with tabs :)

Also it is very fast, much faster than other browsers i've used, would this be due to the hardware acceleration IE9 utilizes?

Only one problem ive just noticed, when clicking and dragging the scroll bar at the side of any website which is long, it judders and sticks and isnt smooth at all, might just be me but who knows, i generally use my mouse wheel, dont even know what i tried the bar itself tbh.

Any good reason to use IE9 over Chrome?

If it was directed at me, no, i just use them based on usability, was using opera for a few days as i loved the smooth scrolling, and before that i was chrome, and before that i was Firefox.

I use them all, just generally stick to one, and use the rest for compatibility when i do some website development.

But no, no reason at all :) But i like how IE9 uses Hardware Acc, not sure about any other browsers that do...

Just to bump this up a bit, IT IS TODAY (well tommorow for us UK persons).

The time has been leaked as 9PM Pacific Time so about 4am for us. I guess it will be available in tomororws Windows Update if you want it. Maybe they will force the update for Windows Vista and 7 users.
