Mail won't stay open for me, appears then shuts again. Freakitchen is having the same problem, anyone else?

Probably related is me not being able to add or delete e-mail accounts either...

I cant get the remote thing working. When itunes asks for the pin it just hangs and then wont accept it, anyone got any ideas?

Dunno if anyones mentioned it, but it DOES work with other peoples iTunes, so its not limited to the computer that its linked too. Which is good.

I think the remote thing is a seriously good feature.
iTunes on PC +Airport adaptors to pump the tunes to various rooms/stereos+ipod for remote control =a system as good as those multi thousend pound Sonos systems for relativly little.

I'll give that a bash in morning. Does that keep all your settings and that still, just like doing the upgrade? Never had to press the restore button...

I think you can restore settings but I just decided to do a restore/update and setup the phone as new.

I want it to keep all my messages mainly. Can anybody else say whether it will?

One thing Im a bit puzzled about... email folders. According to the iPhone video we were able to setup new email folders... any ideas?

Aha, it gave me the option of saving messages, contacts and calendars. Have done so, I'll see what the restore does...

That didn't work, guessing it's something in the e-mail settings then. Going to have to wipe and put everything back in again...

EDIT: is there a way of choosing what it restores from the backup? If I could tell it not to do the mail settings, that might work?!

EDIT2: I've wiped, just having to start again from scratch. Only thing I've lost is my SMS conversations, why do they not make them easier to backup? Yargh.

Gotta say Appstore is awesome! Even though a fair bit of proggies are chargeable, there is still a considerable ammount of freebies too!
