It is still some what locked down, and tbh iPhone just doesn't work, I have a lot of friend who don't even upgrade to the latest OS still it is JB to get all their little tweaks working. It is the same with me interms of android, I dont ahve samsung poison on my screen so I get the latest CM that is out, but it doesnt really give me much more in terms of function but it removes the eye poison that is touchwiz.

Out of the box and Android is just as easy to use as iOS and is just as functional(if not more). It's only tweakers and tinkerers that have to mod their Androids really.

For me the best event and device was the iPhone 4. The whole atmosphere around it was just so much more compelling than anything since the original iPhone and has not been matched since.
Seems strange how the 5 has completely wiped initial sales of the 4 in the same period of time so it must be resonating with the mainstream consumer.

Bear in mind the overall size of the smartphone market is still growing at an insane pace. The number of smartphone users has more than doubled in 2 years, so it not surprising sales are higher.

I really don't understand all the bitching and moaning about each phone, be it Android/WP/iOS/bbOS. Are peoples lives so dull and boring they have to spend all their time finding new reasons why something is rubbish? Would be much easier to just shut up, buy your phone, and enjoy the phone you have bought. The iPhones, S3's, Lumia 920's of this world are all quality phones, they just do things differently.

If the Nokia Lumia 920 was Android, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Why not , if anyone has used windowsphone 7.5 its fast and smooth one a single core cpu , All apps have to conform to microsofts ui which makes all the apps look seemless , really good , yes there could be a lot of improvments , but that's what windows phone 8 is for ..... I for one am jumping feet and hands and mouth and teeth if I need to , to the lumia 920 amazing hardware and camera plus nokia apps and customer care equals no brainer for me.
Some people have hacked the 710 and 800 and got windows phone 7.8 running on lumia phones and say its great , and that only provides windows 8 style start screen
oh mean to say been using windows phone 7.5 and using the voice search fuction to search the web it has been correct 99% of the time . with a strong Scottish mostly pished accent its streets ahead of siri , for voice rec .
I am not a troll etc I will go with what ever phone os gives best options to me , I have had android since goolge g1 , and apple 4 and 4s and 3gs and windows 7.5 . 8 foe me with nokia seems my next point of call
