4.7" device looks ideal, but I hope we isn't just bigger but also fits in more content. Homescreen being the same is sensible but I want more of a website too show and so on.

Two things I'd love for Apple to do

- Bigger screen + 1080p, ideally around the Samsung Galaxy Nexus size of 4.65". I had one those and thought it was the ideal size for everyday usage. I find the current Samsung Galaxy range to be almost too big.

- Better battery as a result of the larger phone.

Other than that, really not much that I can think of. Love the build quality and feel of the current 5/5s.

I really don't see the appeal of bigger screens. Some of the android ones look ridiculous.

The Note does, but you really wouldn't want to go from a S4 sized phone to an iPhone as the screen is just too small in comparison. I'd be interested in a 4.7" iPhone. I'd go out and buy a hat to eat if Apple made a 5.5" version. Don't think it would be a big seller.

The Galaxy Note line has done really well, there's definitely a market for very large phones.

You can get a 4.7" screen in a form factor only a bit bigger than the iPhone 5S, so it's not really a question of the phone suddenly being huge. I bet, at least once it's out, everyone would want one.

In the past I've always said I wouldn't want my iPhone 5 to be any bigger, now I feel like I'm ready for bigger. 4.7" would be nice.

This is the Moto X next to the iPhone 5, it's a 4.7" screen:

I can't see people having trouble with that sort of size.

The whole screen size thing got a bit out of hand literally. When Samsung made the S2, I think they pretty much nailed it at the time. It was a great size and form factor, I still think that now. Then they just seemed to think bigger was better.

For me, something around 4.3"-4.5" with a small bezel would be ideal. Currently using a moto G with 4.5" and not so small bezel (same overall size as moto X I think) and even that is much nicer to use then my 4.8" S3 was although the novelty of the S3 size did last over a year.

It's a strange one for me because when I had a 3GS and 4S for a total of 3 years, I always wanted bigger, now I'm thinking not so big! So if they finally do a 4.7" as well as a 4", it could be a tough one although I'd more than likely go for the bigger one.

Size difference between the Moto X (129.3 x 65.3 x 10.4 mm) and the S2 (125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5) is really small, the main thing is the Moto X is rather thick which the newest iPhone won't be. For a 0.4" bigger screen I think it would be worth it. However apple don't have on screen buttons so they will need more room.

Maybe a 4.5", I feel 4.3" isn't big enough. I think one of the main reasons for a bigger screen is the US market, where there are going too be all the latest smartphones for $200 on contract and the iPhone will look tiny compared to 5"-5.2" smartphones, and for a lot of people it will be like, oh I get this much more screen for the same price.

The main problem apple has is that if it wants to keep the device size down whilst increasing the screen size it would have to remove and/or alter the home button (which it won't with the integration of TouchID) to create space at the bottom (lots of "wasted" space if you look at the picture above).

I'm fine with the screen size as it is... but each to their own :)

All I care about is 1) Can I use the phone one-handed whilst stood on the god damn bus and 2) Will the battery last more than a day.

If those two things are true then sign me up for an upgrade from the iPhone 5 on the likelihood of upgraded specs alone.

Start looking for a tasty hat...

My wife had her own thoughts on the future iPhone ...If it's got a bigger screen then she isn't getting one , it would be easier to text whilst driving and she's is bad enough now .

I was really happy with the size of the 5 when it came out. When I use my GF 4s it seems tinny.

But am at a stage of my life am ready for a bigger screen :D
