Update 6:28 AM: Here is a slightly higher resolution version of the drawings, showing the smaller model to measure what appears to be 137x66 mm and 7.0 mm thick. The larger model appears to be 157x77 mm and just 6.7 mm thick, with that thinner body requiring that that the rear camera protrude somewhat as on the current iPod touch.

Urrgghhh....the current 5S it 7.6mm. There's no need to make it thinner, if the battery life is only marginally better due to them making it another 8% and 12% thinner my jimmy's are gonna be rustled. Keep it the same and jam as much juice in that bad boy as possible!

Agreed, no other serious OEM is chasing a thinner phone I think apple just wants another point on their presentation where they can be like we made is 8% thinner and it was already insanely thin. It is actual more worrying on the 5.7" device, give how all devices in that category pack beastly batteries.

They could also use stacked battery technology like LG does which helped them get 3000 mAh battery and keep it 7.6mm.

4.7" device is as tall as the Nexus 5, which is a tad disappointing, I think if they kept it 7.6mm it might have allowed them to shrink the top and bottom bezels of the device.

Wow that ^ does look good!!

It's not going to be perfect, obviously, but following their previous history; having a gorgeous large screen, excellent camera, serious crunching power, great graphics, blinding internet speed and a snappy interface in such a skinny phone is going to be amazing.

It appears to be the best looking iPhone yet. It would be a huge let down if we got something that was identical to the iphone 5 though.

Fallen god... You're hotlinking images :o

On topic... I'll eat my own manhood if the phone looks like that.

I like the render and shape, just wish they would do a 4 inch version for those of us that just want an IOS device but small form like the 4s :(

You don't like the size of the 5/5C/5S?

Personally the extra length is good (that's what she said), but I wish they'd made the screen wider.

Looking at the phone day to day is fine, but then put it next to a phone with a larger screen and it looks narrow.

No if possible I would have stayed with the 4s size. I make calls, type about 10 texts per day, check email and have a look at facebook. I use the podcast app, barclays, couple of photography apps and audible.

I have no need for screen size but prefer a better battery life and minimum size in the pocket :)

I have been seriously considering going S4 mini for a while especially if phones keep getting bigger with crap battery lives.

Moto X is pretty solid phone for a package a little bigger then the iPhone 5.
