I think if Apple goes thinner I will lose some respect for them, there is clearly no real advantage going any thinner the the 5/5S outside of having an extra slide on the presentation and a spec to circle jerk over. Rather it stay the same thickness so we get more Z-index for the camera and more space for battery life, to very important things for phones.

No major player is bring thinner devices this year, don't see any real reason for it.

if they do a 4.7", one feature I'd like to see if this. On an ipad mini, it lets you hold the bezel and screen and still be able to use the touch screen shown below at 12:30 -12:52

Well on phones around 4.7-5", I can reach the top of the screen but the palm of my hand rests on the bottom of the screen before my finger presses on what I'm aiming for so if there was a way it could detect a large area pressed at the bottom somehow and a small finger sized tap at the top it could realise what you are trying to do.

Any information on a possible release? I'll need to find a buyer for my immaculate condition 5S ;) and set aside some money for a 6 :).

Difference between a 4S and a 6 would be day and night, if you can afford it I would go with the 6, no matter what is released.
True, but the price difference will be huge (for me anyways). £150 for the like new 32GB 4S (inc. Gorilla Pod + Griffin Survivor Case) vs ~£550 for a new 16GB iPhone 6 (going by todays 5S prices). I guess I'll see a little closer to the time, I still have other things to get before I go upgrading my phone.

I still use a 4S. I've spent some time with a 5S. Yeah, it's a better phone. Slightly more responsive, better camera. Better with 4G obv. But I hardly ever feel 4G would be better for me. Mine plays youtube fine over 3G and mostly I'm in reach of WiFi or driving.

I'm keeping an eye on the 6, but I won't be upgrading unless it's silly not to. I'd upgrade if it came with NFC and wireless charging. Otherwise, I'm happy with a 4S.

I'm probably more interested in the iPad Mini refresh.

I went from 4S to 5S mainly because I was in the states at the time and could pick up the 5S cheap. I thought the same as you at first but after a while living with the 5S I've realised it's actually quite a big improvement. I live in London and get 4G pretty much everywhere so maybe that's a factor if you're not in a 4G area.

Having said that, if you've waited this long you may as well hold out for the 6 now :)

Off course price is going to be a bitch. The 4S should get iOS8 too given the iPad Mini is still on sale, but I feel going forward the ram will be holding it back a bit.

Might be a bit wiser to spend more and try get A 5/5C so you have more ram and faster SoC while not spending £550. Take a look at ebay I have seen 5C going for around £280 and hopefully the price comes down a bit when the 6 is out. Rather go with the 5C over the 5S due to the LTE bands incase you do ever want 4G in the future, further increase your device's lifespan.

Here's the Iphone 6 roundup on macrumors

They are predicting a 4.7" screen (pictured) and a 5.5 inch phablet version later in the year. Think the latter is just wishful thinking myself. There's plenty of evidence of the 4.7" version out there (cases, panels, screens, renders etc..) but nothing at all of the 5.5" version. We'll wait and see but they predicted this last time with the 5 and it never materialized, i think its just apple fans being fanciful.

It hasn't been mentioned in any of the leaks, but I hope they stick with the 4" for those that want it... although... offering the same phone in different sizes doesn't really sound like something Apple would do IMO

4.7" will be ideal. You 4" screen lovers will all get used to it, trust me.

My 5S is near perfect except for the fact it needs a bigger screen. The odd thing is, I still find it easier to use and navigate than larger screened phones due to various iOS tweaks (and the quality design of apps like Tweetbot, too).

I felt 100% the same with my 5S and a better battery.
