As I mentioned before, most of the people I see on the tube with >5" devices are girls. They stick them in their handbags when they are done.

My point was "why are people complaining about having to pay for 64GB, when they previously had to pay the same cost for 32GB on the 5S"

My guess is those people expected the base model to come with 32GB but Apple chose to keep 16GB which means they now force people to upgrade.

It's not really. You double press the Home/Touch ID to bring up control centre, but double tap (touch but not press) to activate this 'Reachability' feature. It's universal across the UI so doesn't matter if you're in an app or whatever.


Demonstrated at around 35 seconds in. As you can see, the home screen does landscape too.
 
Im seriously not impressed by this, I was a huge Apple fanboy who switched to Android last year because of the same old same old new Iphones coming out, this again doesnt really add anything special. Glad they opted for the bigger screen though thats been needed for sometime.
 
I may have missed it but do we yet know the prices of the 6 vs 6 plus?
Iphone 5 is about 4.9". losing .2 (as i read the standard 6 is 4.7") will it be similar the (imo) better sized iphone 4 / 4s?
Also, are the specs of the 6 and 6+ different, excluding the screen size? Ie is resolution different, lower battery life etc etc

This is Apple we are talking about. They have little care for customers outside the US, as the phones are designed for their country of origin. We have pants mobile data compared to the US.

6 Plus has Optical Image Stabilisation vs Digital Stabilisation in the 6

6 Plus has larger battery than 6

6 Plus can also do some funky stuff with apps due to its extra screen real estate like side by side view in calendar, its got space to show profile photos from your contacts in the messages app etc..

Price difference in link above.
 
So the A8 is 25% faster cpu wise and 50% on the gpu,all whist using half of the power of the A7 at much more sustainable speeds,isn't that seriously impressive?!?

Add to the fact Metal could enable 50%> improvements and we're talking k1 level/beating performance at almost 1/4 of the energy consumption :eek:

Tegra k1 5w
A7 2.6w
A8 1.3w?

I'm also hoping this year will see a return of the X line of A series cpu's,A8x with double the performance in the ipad air 2 doesn't seem too far fetched giving the power efficiency of this chip.

I'm in the same position as you, I've always been a apple fanboy but last year I moved to android and have been extremely happy, owned the S4 which was stolen then got myself a Htc one m7 which I've still got, I was hoping to upgrade to the new iphone 6 but I'm seriously dissapointed as I had my hopes up this year aswell.

Think I'll be going with the Z3 instead
