I reserved a 6S+ 64GB and collected on sunday... so far, excellent first impression - good battery life, doesn't overheat like my old LG G3 did when watching netflix, great screen size and iOS has improved!

Well the battery life is touted as being the same despite the smaller battery due to the 14nm chip being more power efficient, so surely if it's a larger chip then although marginal, the battery life will be affected

Annoyed is probably the wrong word, I'm certainly not going to kick up a fuss or look to exchange, but it's a little odd that they might do this

That happened to me. My reservation was not showing on their system cause it had "crashed" and they told me they couldn't serve me. Asked to speak to the manager to show him my e-mail and he apologised and eventually served me. I was at the back in the store room and he said "we don't normally do this but since we're close to closing time and we've got so much stock, I can allow it".

Mines was showing initially but the guy who checked me in had apparently pressed the wrong button to cancel it and release it to stock. Like yourself the person who served me was bewildered and a manager do exactly as you had! Computer was saying no and logic took a while to prevail

I wonder how many they actually have and if they create this hysteria themselves of low stock.

"Low stock" is definitely BS. I came into the store to purchase before, but they said due to low stock, they can only serve people with reservations. Went home, reserved and came back 2 hours later and purchased.

From what I understand, they're only taking reservations for the same day, then wiping it fresh the next. I was there near closing time and there were still hundreds left. Staff even said they'd serve me because there was so much stock.

The screen on mine has a very strong yellow tint, it's not uniform either but that doesn't show very well in photos. If you use it on it's own without comparing the screen it's not to bad, but the top to 70% of the way down is ok, then the tint gets a little yellower. Bloody horrible screen compared to my 6 Plus which in person looks pure white. Looks a little red in photos but in person it's perfectly white and uniform.

Have arranged with Apple to get myself an express replacement. Could have returned it but then I may have been without it for 2 to 4 weeks while they get more stock. Plus my Apple Watch would have been useless in the meantime as well as my mum now has my 6 Plus. She loves it coming from a 5s.

Replacement should be at my door in 1 to 3 days.

I will be glad when Apple finally uses OLED then almost all screen issues would be fixed overnight.

6 Plus on top, 6s Plus on bottom.

Very much enjoying having 128GB of memory. Didn't have to think twice about installing XCOM or several TV show series in HD. :)

As I said in someone else's post about yellow screens - "The yellow screen may be nothing to worry about, I seem to remember hearing reports of yellow screens with pretty much every release. It's something to do with the adhesive and after a couple of days use, it clears."

does anyone know how to modify the list of news outlets that can appear when you swipe left from the home screen?

I loathe sky news!
Change your region to US, reboot the phone and change your favourites in News App that should appear.

I'm not 100% sure if this works if you change the region back to UK. I'm running my in US region at the moment to get the news app working.

At Covent Garden they had a massive display of the boxes at the back, hundreds of them, and they wouldn't release any despite it being obvious they were not really reserved.

Today there were tonnes of people walking in ready to buy but were made to go reserve, and they were able to "reserve" on the iMacs in store, though the 6 plus did seem to be in short supply.

On a separate note, on this force touch thing, when you do it on the mail icon, it doesn't show a list of all the different inboxes, how can you make it do that?

My delivery estimate for my 6S+ 128GB Space Grey has been brought forward a week.

Processing Items Dispatched: 2-3 weeks
Delivery: 30 Sep - 6 Oct by Standard Shipping

I ordered around 10:30 on the day pre orders opened.

Exeter listed as the only store with the 128GB S+ in stock.

Keep refreshing it changes throughout day. Basically what seems to happen is you reserve for a 15 minute window. If you don't turn up in that window it releases it back to the website. I refreshed throughout the morning and I could find 64gb and 128gb in stock in London

On a separate note he 2gb ram makes a hell of a difference

Right, so I couldn't reserve one in say Bristol (40 minute drive) and then go down and pick it up. Amazing Apple, well done.

I think they will have more stock than they reserve for and you pick the window it's not 15 min from reservation. I set mines to over hour away even though my work is 5 mins away just in case

Picked up a plus today from an o2 store (ordered online upgrade)

Having made the switch from Samsung trying to get use this... why hasn't apple put a option to close all background apps rather than swiping each one away like android has? Got 14 days to return going to use it see if I can convince my self to stay hehe
