iPhone Case

I bought the ecell contoured silicone case of the bay, will see how it is. I'm using an ipod sock from my old touch atm but its not that practical.

I can't mate as the phone is all boxed up ready to be posted. However they really aren't noticable and I don't think they'd show up from a photo. Basically, on the back of the phone where it curves is where the case presses up against the phone, and there's like a pressure mark runnin along it. Don't really know how to describe it really.

I just took my case off, there are indeed marks which are caused by the rubber strips however I managed to clean them off fine :)

Just ordered my matching Foofs :D

Black as Night with Black Satin linings. Going to take loads of pics when they arrive :)

Slider case can be had for $35 from the states. doesnt seem bad.

+ i have a mate over there that can send it over as a "gift"
You'll have to add delivery from Incase to your friend's house and delivery (and perhaps packaging) from the US to your house and wait for at least a week. You could order it from Apple for £27.88 including delivery instead of doing it the long way :p

rumors say that the slide can leave marks on the shiny edges?? this true??

I've taken off my case three times and I haven't seen any marks on the chrome surrounding :p

Yeh it does since (like any other case) it makes the iphone slightly thicker (but less so than most cases I would assume), therefore easier to grip, and the plastic is less slippy than the iphone itself.

there is no screen protector with it is there?

The case doesn't come with one however if you need one then I highly recommend the Power Support Crystal Film which can also be bought from Apple :)

Does the slider case provide more grip thou? That is the most important thing.

Since the black version of the case is glossy, it provides more grip over the original iPhone's casing :p

There's a matte version of case which feels rubbery and there's a thread on MacRumors with pictures discussing this particular model.

I forgot to mention that in my previous post, unfortunately it isn't available yet. However if you read the MacRumors thread, there seems to be a common problem with the matte version of the case which is that the coating appears to be coming off :(

Incase Slider case comparison

In this Flickr gallery you can see how the Incase Slider case compares to an iPhone with no casing. You can tell the iPhone with the Incase Slider has a screen protector because it's showing some grainy effect. The Power Support Crystal Film which has been recommended in this thread a few times doesn't have this effect :p

i meant the 100% rubber one yes. In my experience they are better as they don't shatter and go to a million pieces when you drop it. Which then the phones hit the ground naked.

It's not soft leather, it's a thin plastic case which is covered with leather (real). So it offers good drop protection too.
