iPhone Case

I tested the volume on mine and it really wasn't a problem. Trouble is the iPhone is a quiet phone in general.

I see them as being more for protection from being in your pocket or from knocking about in the car. Fair enough you want to protect your nice phone from a drop when you're using it, but all the skins and most of the cases out there that will do that will make it look like crap. Any skins that are thin enough to not effect the looks much probably won't provide much protection anyway.

I reckon you'd do well to get one of those leather cases that fold open.

That's my view on the subject completely, I want to know that its not going to get scratched when it's in my pocket, regardless of all the other stuff that's usually in there with it! Protection against damage isn't something I'm willing to sacrifice the size of the phone for, and because of this I'm telling myself not to drop it! As phones go, it is quite slippery though.

i am still in 2 minds about the foofpods, 3 things really concern me.

1 - it's in a bag, so the volume will be muffled.
2 - i need to get it out everytime i need to use it, and how quickly can i grab that out of my pocket and then pull it out of the foofpod while walking?
3 - When i get it out is the most likely time i will drop it and it's not in a bag......making the bag useless.

There should be a 4.

They look gay :p

Why a man would want to stick his iphone in a cloth pouch is beyond me, perhaps its a mac thing?!

Just ordered 2 of them aswell, hope they are OK, at least they arent expensive with the current exchange rate, also its buy 2 get 1 1/2 price, total of around £17 inc shipping.

Im only concerned about a bubble that may be on the case and cant get rid of it... - we will see :)

Well I got my Ivyskin Xylo T2 case and I do love the look and feel of the case but it has one major flaw which renders the thing useless:mad:

Basically after a little use patches appear between the case and phone which look as though water has gotten inbetween the case and phone which disrupts viewing the screen. It definetly isn't water, it does go though if you take the back off and pull the phone out slightly. I also emailed ivyskin and they say its static and to take the phone out and while holding the phone touch somethin metal. This did work for a while but after around 15mins the problem came back and I am not going to keep taking the damn phone out every 15mins. So I am well annoyed and advise others not to get this case until they have sorted this issue out. I will include some pics when i get home to show you what I mean.

So I am not looking for another case, liking the looks of that TuffWrao thing.

Got my Marware one today, not bad, fits well but a bit loose on the side, also the back is thickened slightly so its slightly raised, probably for shock protection.
Can feel it in my pocket more now as opposed to without a case. Came with front and back clear protectors and a cleaning cloth.

Still going to wait for the shades and see what they are like, probably a bit slimmer.

Had my shipping confirmation for the shades on Monday so hopefully it will be here next week so can compare to the one I have now, think they will probably be a better fit.

Grip level is just right - it doesn't grip to your pocket and turn it inside out when you get your phone out, but unlike the iPhone itself, it doesn't appear to be made of some sort of alien super-teflon :D

I dunno how much it will scratch up to be honest, it's very glossy so I assume it will. I'll let you know in a while :)

I got a dispatch confirmation on the foof I ordered today. For those that have them, how long did they take to arrive? Obviously with it being Airmail, the estimates are vague (7 and 30 days).

Even thou i am quite happy with my Ecell case, i still want a better quality case. Can't decide between the incase rubber one and the slider.

I am still not convince about the slider's bottom half, does it just slide off? and if so, what's stopping it to come loose over time? and does the sliding on and off cause wear and tear on the phone itself? Especially that is the plastic section of the iphone is.

Also the Slider's thickness, it looks quite thick.

My concern over the incase rubber case is less since i already have the itouch version, but if anyone has one, can you get confirm to me that it is a more rigid than the normal silicon cases that you get for £5 ?

The bottom half of the Incase Slider case clips in with the top half. The only way I can see the case becoming loose over time is, if you keep taking the case off and putting it back on while wearing down the two rubber strips (which touches the back of the phone) in the process. The Incase Slider case is currently one of the thinnest cases you can buy for the iPhone.

If you are so indecisive, you might as well go without a case :p

I never dropped my previous phone and I'm tempted to go without a case now since I feel that cases hide much of the iPhone's great design. Not only that, they also add bulk to the overall size of the phone. After taking the Incase Slider case off to put my new O2 Simplicity card in, I missed the original size and feel of the iPhone. I'll see what the phone is like without a case for a few days :p

The Incase Rubber is a great case. I had it once upon a time.

You have to stretch it to get it on the iPhone, but when it's on it's one snug fit :) Only problem I have encountered is that it attracts fluff from everywhere.. otherwise it's very low profile.

I had a slider-esque case too, but just putting it on caused scratches (plastic on plastic = bad), so I threw it.
