So anyone know how to boost the volume ?
Can anyone tell me how to disable the GPRS/EDGE so it doesnt access those facilities automatically? Or at least a prompt of some kind?

I wouldn't mind knowing this too, until I get my O2 simplicity SIM, my Vodafone data charges are quite painful.
Hoping that it won't be able to access any data, since I haven't put in any vodafone-specific settings, but wouldn't hurt to make sure before it goes out of my wi-fi range!

Maybe yours has a problem (or your ears do), mine is really loud on full volume. Have you got a friend with an iPhone you can compare with?
just tried calling myself from the landline, it just vibrates and doesn't ring.....
The top one turns the ringer on and off!
So let me get this straight
£170 pay up front in CPW/O2 and then hack when you bring it home?
Is that it? Seems like a bargain if you dont need the extra features.

under sound i have it to max
the orange dot above the volume is NOT showing
Turned off vibrate in the settings
Called from landline
the incoming call screen comes on, not a beep, no vibrate.

Troothalicious.
I installed this program called... "Services" through the Installer button (is that installer button something created by the dude who made ziphone?)
The services button gives you the ability to disable Edge/Wifi and SSH whatever that is. But once you disable them, the phone turns off completely.
And when I want to use the phone the services are re-enabled again :|
