iphone down to £169

Anyone care to answer the questions i posted previously? :o :p

I really want one but am unsure :(

On a slightly related note......

As some of you may know, I run the-iBlog, and I'm after some input.

As new iPhone users, what kinds of things are you struggling to find out? What apps to install? How to do some simple things like email photos etc?

Basically, we're going to do guides etc to cater for whatever you guys say you want. Help us to help you type idea :)

Anyone?

Whats the best way of putting in 200 contact names and phone numbers? !

I had to type mine in as I couldnt export the contact list from my old phone onto my PC. :(

Plus i didnt / dont know how to make a contact list and sync that with the phone using iTunes, so I couldnt make a contact list on my PC.

Perhaps a rundown of top applications for new users? I know the iphone thread has a similar thing already, it's just a thought. The only third-party app I've installed so far is MobileSrobbler, which looks very well done.

A few things which would be decent.
Knowing where to disable/enable GPRS/EDGE (to avoid high data charges).
PDF Reader that is not necessary to be browsed via a website (i.e a local copy).

Thats it so far.

I'm starting a page now.

The title? A beginner's guide to the iPhone and its world of possibilities.

:)

Ah thats ok then! :D

Im still on the fence about it aswell. Dont really know if i need it cause i dont use my Nokia 6120c that much anyway. But the iPhone is so damn cool and since its got a real web browser i feel that i would use that quite a bit.

If i did switch, i would get an O2 pay as you go sim card and get the 'Unlimited browsing' bolt on for £7.50 a month. Seems pretty decent, hopefully they aren't too up tight about the whole "200mb=unlimited policy" of theirs though.
Well after playing with it a lot more. I'm keeping it. It's so awesome. Granted I'll keep it as a touch until my contract runs and I'll also be carrying this with my W950i but it really is great. The web browser also swayed it for me, it's so quick and it works pretty damn well!

Ok one main question. I am assuming that if I get one and put in my Orange contract sim into it, I will not be able to use EDGE, only GPRS. Is this correct? Is there anyway to get EDGE with a different sim at all (if it is correct) as I dont think I could stand GPRS speed internet.

I had a look in the ultimate iphone guide thread in the mac section but it only explained how to do it for jailbroken phones, and one unlocked with o2 sims.
