iphone down to £169

If anyones interested:
Looks like it is possible to buy unlocked iphones. From reputable sources as well.
Was just browsing around a shops website that my place sometimes uses for spares and the occasional phone, and they're listing an unlocked 16Gb iPhone for £504.

Would have thought Apple would make an announcement on this sort of thing?

Why would ANYONE pay that?

You can buy it locked for £320 odd, take it home and it'll be unlocked in minutes. the unlocking is not worth £180.

I've unlocked mine and got it on Orange PAYG. Ideally I'd like to be able to bolt on unlimited data, but I don't know if Orange do it?

I'm not bothered about changing networks if I have to, but do any of the others offer anything like this?

Is it possible to pair the iPhone up with Bluetooth stereo headphones? Been trying but no dice.

Nope, it doesn't do A2DP over Bluetooth. :(

Bit silly I think.

Only thing you can use the iPhone bluetooth with is a normal headset IIRC.

I'm considering going for the O2 simplicity option if I do decide to get a 'phone. The £25pm plan is good value! :)

Yup! Switched over to it in January with the intention of putting it in an iPhone eventually, that day has come :) Used to pay £30 for 200 mins/500 texts and no data!

Not a clue tbh.
Some people are scared of bricking it i suppose.
Still though, im suprised it hasnt been advertised more. Perhaps because its a business shop though?

Don't know how you could prove it.

I've been thinking about picking up an iPhone but I think I should hang on a while longer. It needs a better camera if it's to replace my n95.

my current contract runs out on the 4th june, i can upgrade on the 4th may. If on the 4th may i say no i don't want to carry on when will my last payment be?

:mad::mad::mad:

Just tried resotring my iPhone with my PAYG sim twice and it didnt work, so I just orderd another iPhone from O2 online (through quidco), and I just tried it for the third time and it worked!!!

Lost all my contacts and my old mobile with everything saved to the phone is at uni. Though ive saved all the contacts to the sim so I dont know why the iphone doesnt have them.

Any one get a text saying you need to enter verification code to O2 website to enable use of text service? I canny remember getting this the first time...?!?

So yeah ive got another iphone coming to me tomorrow.

It doesn't pick them up from the SIM without an extra application, read back in this thread a bit.

Can't believe so many people still store stuff on their SIM, did you not have more than one number for any particular contact?

Ah ok.

Yes, have several numbers for different people...

So can you get a iphone through quidco (getting the £100) then unlock it and use it with any sim whithout signing any contracts?

Thanks

I don't know anyone that has been successful with the quidco cashback for iphones unless they take out the contract. And its £35 for the iPhone anyway afaik.
