O2 can do whatever they want with the iPhone pricing; it is up to them whether they want to make a loss on it or not.theres probably a certain ammount of truth in that
but do you really think apple woud allow o2 to knock £100 off the retail price ? apple are well known for their tight control over retailers. Its one of the reasons why they will only deal with 1 provider per country. Apple will have sanctionned the cuts, and no doubt cut the wholesale price as well
because you can bet CPW wont be taking £100 hit per phone.
C'mon, does anyone know if the PayG o2 sim with a £7.50 web add on features EDGE or GPRS? Theres been rumours saying they can get EDGE enabled but no-one has confirmed it![]()
People have got it to work with EDGE, but it doesn't give the full EDGE speed. Just a minor improvement over GPRS.
Do you know if the o2 simplicity plan uses EDGE/GPRS?
Any of the plans have the ability to use EDGE. The simplicity plan should be able to use it at full speed EDGE, rather than the cut down EDGE for Pay&Go users.
when you say 'cut down' for PAYG how long would you say a 1 minute video would take to load using youtube?
Well there are videos on Youtube of people loading the "New York Times" website on EDGE and it takes about 1 minute or so to load it fully.
So at a huge guess, I would say about 2-3minutes to fully load a 1min Youtube video. Massive guess.
So you'd recommend getting the o2 simplicity package?
18, as with all contracts
weird, somewhere on the CPW on the T&C you needed to be 16 to buy the handset, haha
Ahhh so the reason you can't pay with cash is so they don't sell to under 18's?
