just got mine and ziphoned it for everything all seems to be working fine, itunes is now telling me 1.1.4 is available do i just click update and then ziphone it again once its done ?

NO, i would click the restore button, this will restore and update to 1.1.4. After that youll have to ziphone again though.

I had to install summerboard, then a theme straight after, then restart the iphone, then it would allow me to apply a theme.

nope tried it now first installing SummerBoard then restarting then adding a theme nothing, so restrted again still nothing.

uninstalled summerBoard, reinstalled it, added a theme without restarting, then restarted and still no theme showing up under theme in the summerBoard options

Summerboard is not fully compatible with 1.1.4 atm. To install themes all you can do is:

install the theme via installer then it should be in your iphone but in the wrong folder! so you can do this.

SSH into your iphone and the theme you downloaded via installer should be in:
/private/var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes

now copy the themes you want from in there to your desktop or something.

then go to:

/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes

and paste them in there. That's where they are meant to go

I payed £4 for 1 screen protector and buggered it up putting it on, so i need to buy a new one now

Cheers mate your a star worked a treat
after reading I did a little seaching and altered the permissions over ssh on the folder /private/var/root/Library/SummerBoard
and that's showing everything up fine now.

I don't, but I use that one in the link and it works perfectly. It's not as big as that picture makes it look.

I'd personally go for the Griffin SmartTalk.

You get the flexability of using your own ear/headphones yet you dont lose the ability to still make calls in hands free.

Do it again, it took me twice on my itouch to get it right.
