Doesn't work on a Touch as it just gathers data from Cell towers.
Ah, i think it tries to use wifi some how on a touch, i'm sure i read that somewhere.
DEV team jailbreak now released, only prob you may have is syncing contacts but there is an app to fix by adding a repo to installer
Whos going to try it first!

If your google maps doesnt work simply install navizon gps, run it once, then uninstall it, then run google map locator... simple.

Your method is for natetrues jailbreak tho isnt it?This is what i've read "Google Maps Locate should not work. You got to have the 1.1.3 modem firmware and AT&T for it to work for now. The dev team have stated they are working on a fix now"
And as we know the modem firmware isnt updated during the dev teams jailbreak.
Gman, cant you just restore it then start again?

No idea. I just assumed that if I restored it to normal 1.1.3, then I wouldn't be able to jailbreak it again.

You would need to restore to 1.1.1 i think. Whatever you do dont restore to 1.1.3 official or you will be stuck with a locked phone.

I have just done the dev team unlock to 1.1.3. Seems stable and all the faetures work apart from map locater, I like the web clips though! When do you think installer apps will catch up ?

I think all the main used apps will be updated pretty soon.
Try installing navizon like said above then unistall it and see if google maps works?
Web clips does look good and the only reason i would want to update mine

Mine is "jailbreaking" right now....
Hmmm well i followed the guide, my phone was doing as it should so i left it, just went back to it and it was off.
Gave it a reboot and it still says its 1.1.2!
Wierd.
EDIT, ran it again and i'm now 1.1.3 jailbroken

God, I wish I noted down the methods I used on my phone. It's Jailbroken/unlocked at 1.1.1 and working fine, but not knowing what state the baseband/whatever is in is going to be a pain for future endeavour.

I didnt and i wish i had of done, i cant unistall summer board! get a script error. I'l fix it soon lol.

On the emergency dial screen dial *3001#12345#* and tap Versions.
Firmware version should be 04.01.13_G (for 1.1.1)
If it's 03.14.08_G you have v1.0.2

so is it worth updating to 1.1.3 yet or not, updated the sendowski source and found the softupdate, just didnt wanna run it and find that sod all else works.

How are you fellas getting your own images to display as wallpaper?
I have summerboard and customize but neither allows you to apply your own images as wallpaper. I have a nice theme downloaded but all i need to get now is a nice wallpaper.
Edit: managed to do it. For some reason if you go to your images and then select one and set it as wallpaper it doesnt work, but if you do the same but go through the settings menus it does.
