iPhone V2 speculation...

So long as you keep the original SIM, )and it's put in another iPhone) I don't think it matters.

That's how it worked when the 16GB model launched.. just buy the phone and pop in the SIM from the 8GB model. Apple would be foolish to change this.

As for 02 allowing you to end early.. if they still offer it, and assuming the 3G model completely replaces the EDGE iPhone (which the zero stock drain would suggest) then it would be the same.

02 won't know until they start training staff.. and in my experience that information will either be publically announced via their site in the form of a FAQ, or 02 customer service will know when it launches.

cheers. I'll just wait for june the 9th then and see what o2's site has to offer. :)
 
Do we think that we won't be able to purchase the v2 in the UK for a couple of weeks after they announce then?

I didn't keep an eye on things on when they were first released! :(

Not sure, what might happen is it will be ready to pre-order and will be shipped two weeks after that, or something along them lines.

I'm 75% certain that a new one is coming on Monday, for the UK to order too. So, my iPod Classic and iPhone are on eBay now!

Hope CPW let you pre-order, and I hope they let you use my voucher for £100 from buying iPhone v1 against the cost of a v2. Time will tell!

As a student, I have £1k interest free over draft. I'm using that to get iPhone V2. I can't wait to get it. No need for my old 4g iPod (video ipod is 4g right?).

Bring on monday. :D

If you can't afford it, don't buy it.

It's not worth putting yourself under financial strain for the sake of the latest "must-have" iItem. Especially with the credit crunch. Interest free overdraft or not ;)

If they announce a 32GB iPhone I'll dump my iPod Classic and go for the all-in-one approach.

I'm going for an all in one approach anyway. I don't listen to all my music in one charging of my ipod so will just use my iphone for the music I want to listen to on that day.

And I'm not worried about money. Uni finishes in a few weeks and i'll be working all summer in a bar somewhere in York. I'll easily pay it off and keep my sexy landlady happy at the same time, even if I'm put on minimum wage. ;)
 
The device is so brilliant I would be offended if it was available for 100 quid.

Still to this date I am the only person in my town who has one. Im sure theres more but the fact is I dont see them.
(well I saw one just the other week in KFC but since November till then it was never seen)

EVH is correct about converstation starter. Its a rare object people hear about but haven't seen so they naturally are curious.

I really have loved being apart of an elite group with these devices and yes it does make you a little big headed but thats what been a Mac trooper is all about! We are proud to be different!
 
I'm jumping straight in with the all-in-one approach, I'm taking the risk.

The iPod Classic 80GB is on eBay too. If a 32GB iPhone comes out then excellent, although I can live with 16GB to be honest.

Also, I'm going to go legit with the new one, just makes everything easier for me. The sale of both my iPod and current iPhone should cover a fair few months of the contract anyway.

Ahh good, just checking haha!

Will still use the new one as a guinea pig too though if Jailbreaking does happen, so don't worry about the iPhone sticky dying a painful death :D
 
oh no for sure. I started out with a perfectly legal iphone on o2 and I have since jailbroken it as I wanna change how it looks etc. Hardly a big wow.

Whatever happens I will buy the V2.. Sounds daft but I hope it doesn't have the chrome trim. Think it looks horrible but then I have never been a fan of chrome.
