I far prefer the 1st gen form factor, but I guess the extra capacity of the 6th gen will be nice. It's only going to live in the car anyway I suppose.

just loaded some ALAC's onto my first gen nano to check all was working before sending it off

the nano sounds amazing.. like... it sounds better than my 6th gen classic, and the headphone out of my iMac, and the headphone out of my stereo..

Id be tempted to keep it and bring it back into use if it wasnt a 1GB.. 560/880mb used in 2 albums <.<

Will send mine off I think. The sound quality is awesome, puts the iPhone 4 to shame. It was a much loved piece of kit.

Been pending replacement since 17th DEC but sent off 17th Nov.. so shouldn't be too long to wait... i hope :/

Mine was received, processed and marked as pending all on the 24th Dec and I got my replacement yesterday...

Mine got delivered today, and it is indeed a 6th Gen \0/

I must say a big thanks to my parents for not throwing away the old sofa without checking under the cushions

Kudos to Apple also...replacing a old battered 1st gen with a brand new 6th is great. Seriously considering the Macbook i have been putting off!

The letter that came with my return packing etc. did say that I had 10 days to return or the "repair" may be cancelled. Probably just a standard letter though?
