I've generally found I'm slightly faster in the MP4 than the RUF but I just basically struggle to keep the MP4 on the track, I've actually been qualifying in the MP4 and racing the RUF. The BOP isn't perfect but there's no doubt it will get better. The MP4 has a ton of downforce, it just snaps over kerbs and is quite unpredictable sometimes. I have won races in top splits in the MP4 so it's nowhere near as slow as you think.
Saying the RUF is a made up car is daft, it's an exact replica of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR down to the finest detail (except the dashboard), and it is obviously a way to get round licensing but if it lets me have a 911 then I'm happy with it. The RUF C-spec (IE Carrera cup car) has it's own series anyway so putting the GT3 into it's own series would just dilute it even further.
