Is it acceptable for men to drink wine in pubs?

From a girls point of view I am actually impressed when I see someone drink what some would consider a feminine drink. It says to me that they are strong individuals who don't pander to this ridiculous macho BS.
Drink what you like and forget about the pathetic judgemental idiots!

Like perfume? Various cleaning products? What would you define as a 'waste' of alcohol? Drain cleaner is all that blended whisky is good for ;)

A waste of Alcohol:
Anything with a percentage that Isn't for human consuption!!!
Anything with a percentage for human consumption that has been Spilled, Contaminated or poured down the sink by foolish people(In these particular cases I cry Like a baby!:()

I've drunk wine in the pub plenty of times, can't say anyone even noticed  :D

But like FF said, most of the time the wine in the pub isn't very good so I'll just go for a nice pint of creamy Guinness in all it's vitamin rich 70% peat bog black goodness :D

You need coke to help mask the taste of JD in an attempt to make it drinkable.

You do not drink Whisky with coke. If you do it is either blended (AKA bathwater) or Malt (AKA sacrilege).

oy! nothing wrong with blends :p
ballantine 17yr is really quite nice, and exceptionally smooth. More so for the 21 year.
Jhonny walker gold and blue label, also very nice.

having said that, you can't mix with them coke >_< that's just wrong.

I take mine with soda, which is almost as bad (but not quite ;)) but I haven't developed the ability to drink it neat. Working on it though! (gimme a break, i'm 20 :p only been drinking 2 years!)

and hear hear for the masking of JD taste. once tried it with soda. almost threw up.

It is Totally acceptable if you are Gay.
Pints & a Decent Malt is all a man should be seen with. Any of that other soft drink type nonsense is for Gayers, Posers & women :D

If your hold on your masculinity is so weak it's threatened by what you drink; there's no much we can do to help you mate.

A real man could drink a pink cocktail from one of those poncy wide glasses, with an umbrella through a straw.

I drink wine in pubs, but usually only with my girlfriend. In fact, I was on Friday night (rose, to make it worse!) and did have to withstand several bouts of jeering from around the place, but it's not like I really care :) besides, you can get a perfectly drinkable bottle of wine from my usual for only £5.50 :D

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!! :p:p

Shame on you malc. You missed out vodka ;)

Only if it's Imported Blue label though ;)

I drink whatever the hell I feel like. I can't even imagine worrying about what other people think about me. I'm me. If they think I'm gay because I drink a glass of wine, that's up to them. It doesn't actually change anything.

Drinking wine may make losers think you are gay, it won't actually make you fancy blokes.

I shall clarify.

I think it is Ridiculous to worry about what you are drinking or how you may look to others.
I find it so ridiculous i thought my previous statement would be recognised to be a Joke.

Even after i have explained it i still thinks it's funny an all. Worrying about what you drink is more gay than drinking wine. Worrying is for women :D

I don't drink wine in a pub, but if it was there and cheap enough and I was drunk enough I would.

Bunch of guys in there were drinking a bottle of el vino, you lot can go tell them not to drink it because there poofs!

The REALLY sad thing is that a load of people here think that being branded as gay is an insult
This is pathetic and these narrow minded ignorant homophobic idiots should be utterly ashamed of themselves!

Don't overreact :) Most people aren't being totally serious. I, for one, often drink Rose wine in a pub (albeit Wetherspoons, [not a real pub]) with my girlfriend, but it is my right to question someone's sexuality on the internet.
