Is it all a bit boring?

Hobbies aren't pointless if they bring you joy and happiness, which to me personally the main point of existing.

Do as many of the things you enjoy, as long as it isn't to the detriment of others.

Got plenty of money, and little committments? I'd say - travel the world. How many countries, people and cultures can you experience.

Agreed but maybe possibly I am starting to realise that I am not overly special and that I won't be finding the answer to life. Pass the baton on and all that instead...
I think we all experience that at some point. It's part of 'growing up'. After a point - you realise you're not going to change the wolrd - be written into the history books as some great leader / artst etc. In the end you've got to make do with just living your life as best you can, the making the most of the time you've got.

 Sooner you realise this the better, none of us are. We are all just organisms, one of many.
Find your niche and just do the best you can and try to enjoy the time you have on this earth. Its what I do, I just try to do well at what I do, make an honest life of it and try to enjoy what time I have.

If you're bored of being successful and well off then wow... Yeah you have psychological problems, you probably do anyway most people do.

I guess have a family then you will have something to focus on, help you feel like you're a providing man again.... That does seem to be societies role for adult humans. Everything else is a failure.

I don't have a family (kids) or im not entirely sure i want one so feel free to ignore me.

Get another GF or BF whatever you want save up a couple of 100k and just p-off around the world for 5 years with them.. Life alone is crap and makes you think of stuff like this.

If not give all your money to me and ill suffer with it.

Create a bucket list. On the list add things in and OUT of your comfort zone. Make it interesting, exciting. Different. Then tick them off. Apart from my family, I would love to be in your position. Make the most of opportunity as you don't know what's round the corner.

I am not sure what to say.

I think most people lack any real drive in life other than that given to them, because they haven't spent the time thinking about what they really want. Most people work and strive to achieve things that other people tell them is good. They set personal targets according to the goals and achievements of their forebears and friends. They only stop to reflect and ask "why?" once they believe they have achieved those targets. The targets we set run deep. An extreme example of this is that some people don't stop to reflect on their sexuality until they have been happily married for years and the family is grown up. On reflection they can realise that those targets blinkered them from their real desires and ambitions.

So I dunno. But I think that people should take time when they are young to dig deep and ask questions about themselves, before they embark on a life they may find ultimately unfulfilling. Course you could always look at it as "my life is nice and secure now, so now I can spend the rest of my life doing what I really wanted to do". Just take the time to dig deep and find where your real happiness lies.

I like to not just live somewhere but to really enjoy the countryside and sea and basically do grown up play.
Today coffee and Internet
Drive to New Polzeath (14 second period swell) and bodyboard.
Driftwood hunting
Garden Centre to buy pond plant, then local river to get some silt.
Pottering in garden and a nap
It's enough....................

You have the money? Go try lots of things and see what's fun.

A lot of people are unable to do a lot of things due to lack of money so don't miss this opportunity.

They say money isn't everything and comes with its own problems. I agree (although never been in that situation first hand to experience it) but I'll bet being wealthy solves more problems than it creates.
