Is it all a bit boring?

There is no meaning to any of it. Searching for a meaning is futile. As people have said, do stuff to help others rather than trying to help yourself.

Other options are yacht in the med, party like a haminal.
Or learn to fly...

trust me I wouldn’t be bored

you’ve lost me?

The post you quoted was replying to your post, where you said you'd want to be financially positioned so that you could pay for childcare and not change your lifestyle as it stands with ref to social and hobbies. I read that as have your kids looked after while you're not in work, which is a significant difference to simply doing so in order for you to go to work. Maybe I misread, but I don't understand how you intend to have zero affect on your hobbies without it.

If you take your time, learning to fly is a great laugh and not that expensive. Great hobby to have.

You need a hobby OP & dare I say it a bit more imagination. Ever tried making anything? There's enormous satisfaction to be found there that can't be replicated by just buying things.
Got a driving license? Buy an old classic car, a welder and some tools, and fix it up.

In terms of basic survival, there's nothing to achieve by anyone living in the west really.

What's the specifics of your success btw? Always interested in hearing people's stories. What were your career/ investments in & what's the best area?

When I'm bored I like to play fire the butler, the rules are whoever successfully trips the butler first gets to fire him, I must do better though, my current score is 2, Rupert has 5 but Giles is scarily good at it and has a commanding lead of 10.

Or just lease a stupidly powerful expensive car on PCP and hand it back after it’s rinsed your bank account for several years.
(This seems to be the current trend)
I would suggest looking at a BMW 135i or 235i to start with) ;)
Thank me later...

lol, you must be really below the line if PCP'ing a 135 is bonkers to you. You know most exotics you see on the road are also on some kind of finance, right? At least go to an M8 or something

No point earning loads of money if your just going to continue earning tons of money.
plan to retire early then use that money for something good or just enjoy the freedom wealth brings.

lifes not about earning money some people are going to look back on their life and realised they wasted most of it working when they could have spent there time wisely.

if your sole purpose in life is to work your basically a rich slave

As someone who used to work in a good job and now only works part time. It can be good and bad. You need to be able to entertain yourself or have plenty of friends that also dont work.
