I'd love to have the opportunity to be bored frankly. Lucky you.
Agreed but maybe possibly I am starting to realise that I am not overly special and that I won't be finding the answer to life. Pass the baton on and all that instead...
If you like that quote/film, read his book called Haunted. Very good.
"You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snow flake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world."
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very ****** off."
Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
If someone else is looking after/raising your kids that much then they’re not your kids.
Take up golf (beaten to it!); you'll never be as good as you want to be and you'll keep trying because of the occasional perfect shot.

Spooky literally just posted this
Thats what a lot of people do though isn’t it? Drop the kids at a nursery/ grandparents and then go to work.
I was halfway through writing my post as yours appeared
Find a romantic partner
But that's not what you said...![]()
Then I don’t see much point in having kids if someone else is going to raise them. Mine are at the crèche 3 days a week and I dropped to 60% at work as I wanted to look after my kids more than the crèche did.
