Which makes it a nonsense. We're all part of the same species and nearly all of us are a mixture of some kind. And regardless, being proud because your shade of skin looks similar to the shade of those that prcoeeded you makes no sense at all. You weren't around. The same applies for feeling shame for the horrible things your predecessors did. If we're taking count, white europeans are right at the top of the total dicks list over the centuries. But they weren't us, and we shouldn't feel shame.
There are degrees of of separation. I feel more closely tied to my family than the people of my nation, but more closely to the people of my nation than those of my race, and more close to those of my race than the human population as a whole. That doesn't mean I don't consider myself human and take pride in the achievements of our species, it's just I'll always feel closer to the things that are closer to me.
And I don't take pride in my skin colour, it just so happens that skin colour is a useful marker for (generally) identifying those of European descent. That is what I am taking pride in, not the amount of melanin in my skin.
As for white Europeans, we've the best thing to have happened to the world. I don't necessarily believe this is due to some innate superiority, but it's clearly true. Under Pax Britannica and Pax America we've seen a far more stable and progressive world than at any other point in history. Everything is getting better.
