Is the s95b a buy now with price drops?

Just a quick one for anyone with this tv, that’s using the stand.

Did you find that the 4 screw holes weren’t aligned properly on the stand?

No, just screwed the stand together and clicked it into the TV
You sure you have it the right way around? There shouldn't be any issue with the alignment

Found a vid of how it should be if you're having problems

Yeah definitely the right way round. It can’t slot in if it’s not right due to the shape of the hole.

I managed to screw it in, I had to put a bit of pressure on the stand. When looking through the holes they weren’t lined up properly.

I must have got a Friday build lol. I did notice a few comments on the video you posted talking about the screw holes not lining up in some cases.

I found a few other videos and it seems most of them have the same “issue” so I’m assuming it’s normal to a degree.

roll 4 dice

On another note tv is fantastic, people bang on about LG web os but I found it less responsive than the Samsung, and I’m loving the 144hz mode too!

I know it’s only 24fps more but things do feel smoother than the LG

I wondered whether it was going to actually arrive today, arrived right at the end of the time slot.

An absolute arse to handle and manoeuvre with the screen being so thin and feeling relatively delicate.

Impressive so far. Incredible contrast and depth to the picture, feels more immersive.

Great not having to use a switcher anymore between consoles :)

Edit: tweaked the settings and tried the LG tech demo. Holy crap.

Had a 65" S95B since January and I love it. Compared to my mate's C2 the colours just pop that little bit more, though both are stunning.

Would struggle to go back from OLED now, certainly for my gaming room. It’s impressive. Couldn’t resist with some of the deals on last week. Slightly nervous about burn in, but then I don’t game for crazy hours like I used to and cutscenes etc and features like HUDs fading out when not in use will no doubt help.

Couldn’t be our main tv though, the wife leaves it on pause endlessly.

Same here, I'll worry about burn-in for it's lifespan but the difference is incredible. The HDR is impressive but the contrast of OLED is what really are depths and life to content.

I try to get the wife and kids to watch as much stuff on my older TV as possible, and the latter aren't left unattended with it for long!

Definitely the happy with my purchase, I was hoping for a new gfx card bit after the disappointment of pricing for the latest gen I went this route and it's the better option by far as it improves all content, not just games. Though I now wish I had a card more capable of 4K (though I'm happy turnin down some settings to compensate).

I just can't decide between this & a C2
Both are the same price for the 55" model, both have pros and cons.

Need to make a decision :D
Having owned both I’d go for the S95B.

It’s a better set in my opinion. Brighter picture, better design, better speakers.

The Samsung is in the same class as the G2. C2 is mid range (still extremely good though)

Also if you use a PC with the tv you have the added option of using 144hz with the Samsung.

I must say this was a brilliant buy. Now I’ve dialled it in and have played a few different games I’m really starting to understand all the hype about OLED and this tv. I game in a dark room anyway, so it’s perfect for my use.

It's a great TV once you get rid of the Samsung pop. These are the settings I used.

I know it's supposed to be more accurate but I find warm 2 too yellow so I stick to warm 1 when using Filmmaker mode and watching in the dark (both SDR and HDR)
For daytime viewing I just keep it on standard

Congrats and welcome to the 21st Century :D

OLED is indeed a game changer. My C9 still impresses me after over 3 years.
