Is the s95b a buy now with price drops?

Don't forget getting a AV system, like this ;-)

Lol
Think I'll stick with my Denon x2400h amp & 5.1 setup for now.

Good final price of £1039 after a couple of applied discounts.
LG is being relegated to the garage for Zwift duties :D

This was such a good buy. I was watching our main tv last night thinking, those blacks look a bit washed out :p

The gaming I’ve done on it so far has been excellent, it’s just so immersive. Dark sequences at night, in caves etc are incredible.

@413x

Bought it yet?

I decided against it.
Was going to get a banger car for MTB and kayak. But thinking about a van (which is much more expensive.) Hard to justify getting the TV when have one that's working when could be 1.5k extra towards the van

If done great deals come up in black Friday I might bite.

It would be the TV I got though.

I waiting for a good deal on the Sony A95, but their prices have remained rock solid, never any cheaper

Its actually the first time I've actually been able to commit to a product in 5 years.

Been waiting for a big shift. And these tvs cut it for me.

And there's nothing near the s95b price.

Unfortunately I'm struggling to justify cost of a holiday on a TV when I have a TV.

It's good and all but only 2 full bandwidth HDMI isn't good enough imo if you're planning on keeping it for some time, especially considering 1 is taken up by eARC.

Unless of course you're not a gamer, then it makes no real difference

Are there many people buying TVs like this that don't have a receiver.

Have put about 50 hours on this screen now, not massive I know, but burn in is always in the back of my mind. I’ve got all the built in protection features switched on. So far so good, even in the HUD areas. I think it dims those slightly anyway. Not any image retention either.

You don't need to worry about burn-in unless you're using it as a monitor or have the same news program with static logos playing 10+ hours a day

That's one thing I don't miss from my old Sammy Plasma, never suffered from burn-in but image retention was prevalent.

Mine has packed in already. Forget this tv. Now I’ve got to go through the engineer faff before they hopefully take it back and I can buy something else. LG it is I guess. And there was me worrying about image retention.

I now have to wait for Samsung to ‘repair’ it. They can bin it for all I care. Need to try to force a refund, although not sure of the best course of action here.

Oh no, what went wrong?

Was fine last night. Woke up this morning to an infinite boot loop with occasional green half of the screen :(

Gutted. Really struggling to adjust back to my old screen too. Going to have to wait to see what Samsung say I guess, but that could take weeks. All the similar repair posts online report the same happening again.

So I’m a bit stuck. They’ll tell AO.com it can be repaired and as such I won’t get a refund. So I’ll end up massively out of pocket and getting the G3 instead.

Sorry to hear that, hope you get it sorted.

These things happen, when I bought my last TV, a Samsung plasma, I powered it on for the first time, there was a thick vertical pixellated band down the whole screen!

Got a brand new replacement and it worked flawlessly to the day I p/x it for the S95B.
