ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

Which documents are these? Mind you not surprised the oil was going over the Turkish border. Someone had to be buying it!

US spy agencies killing journalists though, really? Where's this come from? Thought the Russians had a monopoly on silencing journalists with a bullet.

He's another one of those posters where, well, y'know.... Nod, smile, move on. Whatever you do though, don't engage in discussion because it will lead you down a path of absolute absurdity.

Now prepare to be edified you sheeple!

Until a reformation of Islam begins there probably won't be a conclusion to hostilities at any point in our lifetime.

I see the necessity in us dedicating ground forces but I don't want to admit that either. Needless to say we will probably be redirecting our air operations to certain African countries before long anyway.

Indeed, but then the recapture of Mosul before Obamas end of term will trump that anyway.

Perhaps you should make a separate thread though, to discuss pro Russian and anti West sentiment though. That discussion becomes really boring, it's not that relevant here and your agenda would be better placed there. However, given your lack of any opinion at all (and just a link and run effort), I imagine it won't be a very engaging thread will it?

So the Russians drop some bombs in a few months, mostly outside IS territory, and then they pull out. Suddenly, any IS defeat is a Putin victory. Gotta love his fanboys, they are as delusional as ever.

I don't think it is so much that half the time, it's that they really believe they're genius in pointing out the media has an agenda! Well **** me sideways!? I would never have guessed that! Watch out lads, the government are out to get you, it's all a conspiracy.

Funny, I'm in Qatar this minute, I must be ISIL myself.

Still, more posting and running from you, no real content, no fact based opinion, in fact no opinion at all. Just more media bias that fits some kind of political bias you have that you think anyone else cares about. What is the point of your posts exactly? Explain more. What are you wanting to achieve? What do you really think? Or is it just boredom/trolling?

Do you realise that in Iraq the concept is that the Iraqi Security Forces effectively run the show? They compose the planning for ops and strategically where to capture. This is all done with just Western assistance, we haven't committed any substantial ground elements or indiscriminate bombing (like the Russian tactic of carpet/unguided and the Syrian regime effort of barrell bombing).

Given the difficulties of inspiring a rag tag bunch like the ISF, and the lengthy process of target development and precision delivery, progress was obviously going to be slow.

Don't forget that the politics throughout each country play a large factor. You've got the Iraqi government who are most concerned about the south and baghdad, they care much less about the ethnicities to the north. Obama on the other hand clearly has some draw up there as liberating Mosul before his time in tenure is up would be major kudos and portray him in a good light.

I can't understand any argument to retain am oppressive regime leader. I don't agree with the short sighted view that "these people need rule with an iron fist", it's offensive and it denies progress. I also don't get the strange fanboyism for states like Russia and Syria who indiscriminately bomb who they like. If that was the US dropping barrell bombs and unguided munitions you'd be spamming it all over the forum. Why the double standards?

How is it sucking up to Obama? I'm stating fact and opinion on matters. If anything, that opinion was super critical, in that he wants a big win before his exit.

Then the comment about Russia and Syria "bombing way harder". I just don't know what to say, how old are you? Does this mean you support indiscriminate targeting and barrel bombs? And now we're back to another post link and run, do you not realise how pathetic it looks when members just use forums to post propaganda and agenda portrayed on media, it's hypocritical. Tiresome.

Just to be clear, my questions are rhetorical, I don't really expect or looks forward to an answer from you because further discussion with you is pretty much a waste of time (much like a few other certain individuals) You lack grasp of reality, situation and maturity - yes Russia can bomb way harder, Cringe!

Stick to the games section and play cod or something.

Obviously the answer to your question is, No, I'm not saying that.

Clearly, I'm querying why is Russia and Syria applauded for indiscriminate bombing and the West is put under the magnifying glass?

Just to be clear... . You are talking about the wedding incident in Afghanistan aren't you?

Looks like the push on Mosul is coming along nicely. It's only a matter of time for that place. What with HVI targeting in Syria too, no doubt each one of them will scarper off to Libya and it will be whack a mole over there.
