ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

Tbh I genuinely can't see the objection to halal meat from the perspective of people who evidently don't believe Mohammed was God's prophet or others who don't believe in a God.

Surely if it costs the same or less at our chosen vendor it has no effect on non believers but is actively good to believers so a social win.

So lets stop selling halal meat then. Or is it just a one way street ;)

Wow let me guess another muslim with an axe to grind over israel. You guys need to worry more about your religious and political brothers shaming the name of your religion right now.

My views are not that narrow minded. That's because we have so many Islamic groups out there, al quaeda, Taliban, boko haram, alnusra.. and who are the so called arab league attacking? Er no one or are shelling syrian kurds. Let's face it the if the entire muslim people are being let down by fringe groups with false teachings, they are doing nothing to resolve the issues. But keep complaining about israel that will really solve the issue...

Did I hit soft spot? I was using Israel as example just like some of terrorist groups you mention. You blinding slating Islam for actions of terror groups without even understanding or proving any facts they are following Islamic teachings.

Do i blame Jews for actions Israel? no because i'm not ****ing idiot. The same goes for any other religion.

My point is you don't blame whole religion on actions of people without learning its teaching its down right stupid.

Muslims are not doing anything they are ones on the front line fighting them and they have suffering the most from these terror groups. You cannot put "Muslims" under one umbrella each country has its own political doctrine. Hence why u have turkey bombing the deash and kurds etc..

Why should the Arab League go to Nigeria and fight boko haram? Its up to Nigeria if they want help from the international community they can ask for it.

Just pulling you up on Turkey bombing ISIS, pull the other one. Kurds yes but not ISIS.

I think they did about 2 token bombs in a field in the middle of nowhere. While they have been shelling the Kurds for the last 2 days and had also been doing it the previous week, as well as bombs.

Well because its cheaper - and by permitting it to become mass market and take over from non halal meats - it is encouraging muslims to come here. It legitimises the methods amd religion.

It's become a question, where can i go? Kfc, subway, etc all halal in the area...

You ask me why it bothers me, equally why would it bother anyone else if it wasn't? I don't want my food feted to a false god or prophet. Why would i want that? You might think it trivial, but if it's that trivial why does it need to be halal at all?

By pandering and not blocking its mass market resale. We are promoting the country as extremely islam friendly. Same with shariah courts.

Are you religious? Perhaps a Christian? From your second from last paragraph you sound like you are.

The very fact that KFC and Subway in your area are openly halal would imply that most non Muslims just don't care, and that you are probably a minority tha do.

If you feel that strongly, just take your money elsewhere.

I don't trust them one bit we should drop them as NATO member.

I blame some jews for israels actions. But this thread is about islam, isis amd not Judaism. Is is are isis irrespective of israel. In fact they haven't directly come to an altercation with them have they?

Muslims are the front line of virtually all the terror groups in the ME. Why should the arab league do anything? Fighting isis would be a start. Or what are they there for? I guess with SA indiscriminately bombing yemen their resources are all tied up?

As opposed to saying there is nothing we can do about it, it is more a case of, 'we are doing as much about it as the public have the will for' and it is making absolutely no difference.

Until ISIS are displaced, the Caliphate is intact, and they will continue.
We could flood the area with ground troops, drive them from the land.
That would end the Caliphate, but we would be left with remnants of splint terror groups, and blue on blue, and ruskie on blue, and every on blue incidents that the press wouldn't let the govt get away with.

This mess will drag on, and on.

Well yes, I did intend to put taking action that had a high probability of starting WW3 in the set of actions that we can't do ;)

But Russia and Assad aren't even fighting the Islamic State - it's an old fashioned ethnic conflict between Alawites (Assad) in the west of Syria versus the Sunni population in the large population centres like Aleppo.

More Russian/Assad war crimes  I think what we're witnessing here is the 21st century's first genocide, and there's nothing we can do about it - the UN is full of corrupt power brokers on the Putin payroll.

Wait why is it a war crime now when the US airstriked a MSF hospital a few months ago (killing way more than this one) that wasn't?

What we know is that turkey is shelling the north. I bet it's them ordered by the US.

Just because the US did it in Afghanistan, doesn't excuse the Russians doing it in Syria. I note the disproportionate amount of criticism that the US got for that incident, which was called in by local forces and very possibly a mistake, compared to what Russia/Assad get for bombing four hospitals in one day.
