ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

So yeah comparing the start of a brutal civil war and a dtudent protest outside parliment in the uk is a complete ******** argument.

Glad you agree
Comparing people's inherent right to stand up for themselves and not be oppressed isn't ********.

Wow,that childish meme of Assad. You're a lovely person aren't you? The very link you posted:

Seven-year-old Bana Alabed, who has gathered thousands of Twitter followers with her tweets from Aleppo, said on Sunday that her home in the east of the city had been bombed.

Another sick and deluded forum member who advocates the bombing of innocents. Hey, those barbarians need rule with an iron fist though right?

quoting America "collateral damage"

So that makes it ok? Saw a really upsetting video of rescuers pulling a boy alive out of rubble on fb. Stopped when I realised what it was but half his skull was hanging off. It was horrific and he was one of hundreds if not thousands of children killed/maimed in such a way. Before anyone says it, yes adult deaths are just as bad but kids have zero choice in where they've ended up.

Assad needs to be dragged before the Hague. Rather than give up power when it was obvious huge swathes of the country wanted him and his family out he's dug in like a tick and allowed it to spiral out of control into this bloodbath. Remember the demonstrations started peacefully until the army was ordered in. Could well have had a true democracy there by now.
Oh, for those that think Syria is a democracy. A one party state is NOT one anymore than North Korea is.

You're debating with an Assad fan. I mean look, he's posting photos of him laughing. Do you expect a reasoned response? He lives in lala land.

What's pathetic is, these kind of people only spout such guff because it bolsters their anti-west rhetoric. That's all they want, they don't care about actual reason. That mindset is easy when you're sat in the comfort of your armchair at home. I doubt this view would be held if he actually lived over there, or had family affected by all this.

Is there any country in that region with a 'true democracy?' Even Israel has its bunch of far right religious nutters in their parliament.

The deaths have been caused by ISIS, Americans, Russians, Iranians, British and a host of countries in the region. As Iraq and Libya showed the end result is worse than what was there before. Greater instability and breeding ground for yet more factions of religious nutters.

Many of Israel's actions have gone beyond the pail. I'm no fan of theirs when they wield the sledgehammer. It's totally illogical and counter productive as you're just creating whole new generations of people who'll hate you.

You'd be in cuckoo land if you really thought a different party had and real chance of assuming power from Assad.

All true, but there was a very real chance for it to have been bloodless had he seen the writing on the wall and allowed a transition in the early days.
Recall all the peaceful demonstrations all across the country being reported here. Not to be.

Assad is still the preferred leader of the majority of Syria, and the only one offering a future for the millions of Jewish/Christian Syrians (both ISIS and the rebel extremists want to turn Syria into a muslim state).

Hell his 2016 election performance was actually better than 2012, and no that's not because of all the refugees being out of the country, they were allowed to vote via their nearest embassy (except in America where participation was banned) and the majority of them voted for Assad (generally when even your enemies admit your election was legitimate that's a good sign).

Good thing Syria doesn't have a one party state then (that was something Assad fixed after coming to power), hell there are TEN parties in the ruling coalition.

which side bombed them?

cause we need to know if it was the good liberating bombs or the evil oppressing bombs.

Syria rebels call for Aleppo truce, civilian evacuation: statement

lol ok

but remember

The humanitarian corridor set up by the Syrian military in Bustan al-Qasr district in the northern city of Aleppo has come under mortar attack fired from the rebel-held districts in the city’s east.

as posted before No one allowed to leave: Militants shell East Aleppo exit route as humanitarian pause ends

now that the rebels are getting destroyed, they want a truce how convenient
